It would be nice with an "Active Topic List" in the Message Boards section! That way it's easy to follow the different active topics on the site.
It would also generate more traffic to the technical forums.

Agreed. I really wish the boards would sort threads according to latest post on that thread and not the the thread started date/time.

Yes, many other boards do this and it will allow more discussion on a certain topic before the tread either dies out or diverges so much that someone starts a new thread...

This is fairly relevant here, too, so I'll just tack it on the end 
Could we have some way of indicating 'don't parse HTML or smilies in this block'? It's very frustrating when trying to post a C++ example, particularly, to have to keep translating < to < and > to > in the middle of a code sample. Particularly for #include <iostream> or list< int >, etc, where the bit that looks like a tag is completely swallowed by the parser.
It would have helped with that last paragraph, too
Proposed tag: <literal> - stop parsing any tags or smilies until you see </literal>.
Hang on, isn't that winking smiley winking the wrong eye??

Install the latest SearchBar, it has a command that'll do just that (and it handles & too!)

I think it would be pretty cool if we could view the statistics by country as well. For example, have an option to view most active in the forums by country. It would also be nice if we could view member percentages for all coutries, not just the Top 10 countries. I'm not sure if these suggestions are practical, but they would be quite interesting IMHO

I second that. I'm sure the data is already there, it's only a matter of displaying it. There could be a link leading to the country page, so that anyone clicking that link would know that they are going to download a huge page.

Hi Chris,
I think there's a missing "Content-Length: nnn" in the HTTP reply. It would be nice to have this fixed, especially if you use a download manager that can use multiple connections, but maybe you disabled this feature just for that...
