a bit after Christmas, but I will say it I also don't care and during this free time I was working on my website and watching movies online. It all started with my birthday, which is often depressing, even if you are surrounded by friends who love you and wish you all the best, because it is a signal that your life is a year older and you cannot believe that more than 365 days have passed since yours. last birthday. But this year my girlfriend gave me an amazing gift: a $ 50 gift card on amazon.com, so I decided to spend some of it on online videos.

Zwölf is getting a CDP1877 programmable interrupt controller.
Quote: The CDP1877 and CDP1877C are programmable 8-level interrupt controllers designed for use in CDP1800 series microprocessor systems. They
provide added versatility by extending the number of permissible interrupts
from 1 to N in increments of 8.
That should keep me busy. If not, I can still start on the prototype for the multiprocessor Zwölf. The CDP1802 is its own DMA controller and can transfer one byte by DMA with every instruction it executes. The great part is that it does not have to stop executing instructions. So why not use this feature to connect several processors? But I will need at least a second working Zwölf to try that.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

... but those who do should be sure to celebrate the 12 days according to both the Julian and the Gregorian calendars.

The question is what kind of Christ Mess you are not messing up with ...
We are a group of guys who celebrate sunturn, the winter solstice, a couple of days ago, raising our glasses and turning around at one minute before fire PM (the exact time varies from year to year), followed by a celebration meal with rice porridge with raisins, cinnamon, cardamom, sugar and butter, accompanied with cured meat of pork and mutton.
We have kept the pre-Christian name "jul", or "youle", found in lots of English songs of older origin. We think it is a great idea celebrating mid-winter, and in particular that the days are getting longer. The Christians stole the midwinter feast, to make it theirs. I do not think that taking it back is any kind of "theft", it is bringing it back to its rightful owners.

Many ancient cultures celebrated the winter solstice. The Romans, for example, had the Saturnalia.

Daniel Pfeffer wrote: be sure to celebrate the 12 days Make sure not to forget day 8, the sexual molestation day. Or if you like: The c**k cutting day.
I didn't learn of the sexual molestation day as a holy day until I spent a year in an American family: They viewed MGM just as natural as families in parts of Africa view FGM; they completely rejected my objections and couldn't understand how we could celebrate new year ignoring the knife and the cutting.
Well, in Norway we do ignore it. We are not aware of that tradition at all. New Year is a 100% secular celebration. I am happy about that. I do not want to celebrate cutting in human flesh.

What a way for an infant to start a new year, getting a sensitive portion of the anatomy cut!

This site and this forum are not the place for discussion of such subjects. It is also wildly OT.

While I won't be coding until Jan 4, I won't really have a break. It has been decided that we are painting a bedroom over the break.
We all understand what "we" means.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

Just like every year!
Two weeks off with just my cat and my PlayStation (playing Final Fantasy VII Remake this year)!
Every day I go outside or talk to people is a day lost
Spending Christmas day with family.
Unfortunately, a client just called with a production error, so I'm out of hibernation for a few minutes
Other than that, I'm not even thinking about work!

I'll dabble in non-coding personal projects, maybe a bit on a coding project, but NO work.
I have 2 barrels of wine that need bottling and more wine to go in those barrels for the next year.

Although I don't personally celebrate Christmas I do rather like the focus on Food. So as well as working over the break I will be indulging in cooking up a storm - and washing it down with some fine wines.

No, this mess is not part of my life.
Tomorrow morning I am going over to a friend to celebrate the sunturn. We have an established tradition of raising our glasses at the exact time when days are starting to get longer. This year it is at 15:59 UTC.
After that, we watch "Rare Exports Inc." - the greatest Christ-mess horror comedy movie that I know of. We have watched it every year since it was published, and I still enjoy it.

Why do I love the holidays so much? Because it feels so good when they end.
