The idea of spam is to get the company noticed: links usually, but the company name helps as well.
If you leave the company name in there, a search can bring up the whole phase and associate that with a reputable site such as CP - which boosts "public awareness" (and that is the spammers job, after all).
So we generally edit out anything that identifies the company from the subject line while leaving enough to ID the article / user and prevent repeat reports. It's not perfect, but every little helps!
