I still use cmd and vbs scripts. They're lightweight when compared to PowerShell and a whole lot easier to read.

For a long time our automated build process was a grotesque collection of batch files, VBS scripts, and some executables.
A little over ten years ago I rewrote the whole mess as a Windows service in C#. Vastly easier to maintain, enhance, and debug.

Having taken batch files and rewritten them in a full programming language, I fully understand. My inspiration for the SetiDriver MFC application was a set of batch scripts that did the same function but in a much less elegant way.

Microsoft has posted code on Github enabling developers to code Windows drivers in Rust, a key step towards memory-safe programming for the operating system. Because who doesn't want to rewrite a driver from scratch?
(Even if it's probably a great idea)

A small capsule carrying pristine specimens from an asteroid parachuted to a landing in the Utah desert Sunday, capping a seven-year voyage through the Solar System to bring home samples for eager scientists seeking clues about the origins of life. I've seen this movie: it rarely ends well

The "AI" only is so intelligent as the data it got fed.
It can only give a so good result as the prompts it gets.
And if you don't have a real dev around, you won't know (at least not for a period of time) if the result will work or not until it is too late.
