You can get the dialog data via its member variables. I see you are also creating the dialog dynamically, so you need to do this before deleting the dialog.
For Example: Lets say your dialog retrieves some text and a number from the user. You need to instantiate the dialog, the user will fill in the information, then the SDI app will get this when the dialog is closed. My (untested) code would probably look like:
<br />
int nNumber;<br />
CString strText;<br />
TestDlg* dlg = NULL;<br />
<br />
<br />
dlg = new TestDlg;<br />
<br />
<br />
if( dlg.DoModal() == IDOK )<br />
{<br />
strText = dlg->m_strText;<br />
nNumber = dlg->m_nNumber;<br />
}<br />
<br />
<br />
delete dlg;<br />

Hi,all!
I'm trying to change the colors of CComboBoxEx. I have my own class CMyComboBoxEx derived from CComboBoxEx. I'm handling the WM_CTLCOLOR message in my class this way:
if (nCtlColor==CTLCOLOR_EDIT || nCtlColor==CTLCOLOR_LISTBOX) {
pDC->SetTextColor(RGB(0,128,255));
pDC->SetBkColor(RGB(255,255,222));
return brush_window;
}
There are no problems with the edit box. But text colors (foreground and background) in the listbox do not change. The brush does paint around the text though.
This piece works for CComboBox but not for CComboBoxEx!
I have also tried dynamically subclassing of editbox and listbox like it is shown in some articles but to no avail. I have also tried subclassing the child of ComboBoxEx32 which is a plain ComboBox but it turns out that in this case some functions of CComboBox (like DrawItem,MeasureItem) should defined additionally.
Please share your experience, give ideas.
Thank you.

Hi!
I made a research on cd writing with c++ and found a sdk called Nero SDK which uses the nero api to write files and it is quite fine (and free). But the problem is that it must have Nero Burning software on a computer to work and I don't think everyone uses Nero Burning Software... Are there any alternatives for writing on a cd? ( even difficult ones would do).
Thank you a lot for your answers!

If you find something free (perhaps you should try sourceforge or something) could you please let me know...

I will share it if I can find! I already found that it can be done with DDK SDK but I not sure if it is free or not!

Under WinXP, use IMAPI - it's part of Windows.

I tend to use ADO via the Oracle ODBC driver using a DSN in most cases.
Are you have a problem connecting to the database or actually executing the queries?
Whilst this example is in VB, you should have no problems converting it to C++ if you use ADO.

Does anyone know of such a thing...?
I need the ability to use merge/split files in and out of a single file. I've looked at the classes here at CP and have determined they won't do.
Free for commercial use is also a requirement.
I am already using CBlowfish, and zlib for encryption and compression, so all I need is a simple lib that will tar files for me crypto++ is to over kill...
Anyone know of anything...?
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Look like something i'd be interested in....thank you very much.
Although I just read a post on here and supposedly zlib offers tar compression??? I could swear I read somewhere that zlib doesn't...
u wouldn't happen to know if it does would you...?
Thanks

zlib only allows a single stream to be compressed. tar is not a compression format; it is an archive format that joins a number of files together to create a single file.
zlib itself doesn't have any functions for dealing with tar files (at least judging from the manual at http://www.gzip.org/zlib/manual.html[^]). The Unix tar command handles .tar.gz files by calling gzip as a separate process.
