If you do a LinkedIn lookup of the long-tenured (10+ years) CodeProject employees who used to address questions in this forum, you'll find they no longer work at CodeProject as of August 2024.

Unfortunately, that page is out of date. 
You don't need to take my word for it. Just look up the people from that page on LinkedIn. You'll find that even Chris ended his involvement with CodeProject as of last month (he posted about it on his CodeProject profile page, too).
I can't speak to what any of this means for the daily newsletter, but it might explain why none of the questions about it have been answered.

Is there somewhere a 'black list' with words we're not allowed to use? Because it looks like every single message I post is marked as 'potential spam' and goes 'under review'! Really?!

No. Instead, for users who haven't been here a long time, or who haven't posted a lot of messages, all new messages pass through a system that evaluates the probability that it might be spam. If the system thinks it could be spam, the message goes into a moderation queue for a human to review.
There's no pre-defined set of rules to determine what does and does not get caught. And even if there were, they wouldn't be published, since that would be a handy guide for spammers trying to get their spam past the filter. 
It can be annoying for new users, but it beats the pre-filter days, where the forums were regularly flooded with thousands of messages from automated spam-bots.

I've been on this forum for almost 10 years, so not quite new, IMHO. Mostly a watcher - only 24 comments, wich qualifies me as a 'Lurker' 
In my experience, the spammers live a short life on most forums: they (automatically) create a new identity - usually random names [+numbers] - post their garbage and then they're gone. Not hard to detect! None of them live, under the same identity, for several years on a forum.
A content analyzer wouldn't also be very hard to implement, these days. Even without using AI.
Anyways, this is the way we have to live now... I would sanction individuals who engage in any kind of internet illegal activities in a much more drastic way than what we have in place today... Many years of imprisonment? Death penalty? Too harsh? Why? What do we have to lose?!
A concerned non-spammer.

You'd be surprised. Whilst most spammers are relatively new accounts, sometimes we get spam from accounts that have been dormant for many years.
I couldn't comment on how easy a content analyzer would be to implement. IIRC, the current system uses some form of Bayesian filter to compare the properties of new messages to messages which have previously been reported as spam. Which is probably very similar to what an "AI" solution would do.

To add to what Richard has said, sometimes spammers just keep on coming back and back: We have one guy who has been trying to rent out a photo booth he bought for nearly a decade!

But paranoia is also one of them! In this case however, it's called compromise.  Or a necessary evil...

When you get a couple of "this is OK" from users that can see the moderation list, the system will learn and give you more room.
Just be a bit patient.
