Still watching the video, but 100% agree with the concepts. I've been a long time advocate of saying you can achieve some OOP (as we've some to understand it) in C.
Some n00bs will say no you can't, but you can... just not with "classes" but with the principles of OOP. Of course not everything that C++ does and it's more theory/abstractions/conventions than something tangible. But, you can still get some of those principles across... if you understand the principles and don't just memorize syntax.
I'd elaborate on it, but I don't wanna.  Don't have the juice for another "argument" online. Privately I would though.

I have looked at these before and could never figure them out. I am looking at these last few that are posted and I still cannot figure it out.
Can you explain, for us simple minded country bumpkins, how “pinch fitting” becomes “appropriate”?

This clue (and my previous one) are what is called "double definition".
Two definitions of homonyms (words spelled the same but maybe with different meanings).
So in this case, pinch >> steal >> appropriate (verb) and
fitting >> suitable >> appropriate (adj).
There are many other forms of cryptic clues, involving things like anagrams and other trickery.

This instance is a homograph. Spelled the same pronounced differently.

After unpleasant experience win "new and improved" version of Ubuntu, I am back "experimenting" with Linux / Ubuntu recovery mode.
So far I have this link

It tells nothing new, and I am looking for a resource actually describing what Linux does when in "recovery mode". Especially when the process stops and there in no instruction on how to proceed / restart.
Most of the time I end with "three fingers salute" and it generally reboots and I can start over.
I have some shots of the failures, unfortunately I have no clue how to post them here.
I am familiar using dmesg and wondering if there is way to do same when the "recovery mode" is abandoned using reboot.

Well, since this forum is aimed at developers (mostly Windows), you would probably do better in the Ubuntu forums.
I see this on one:

Thanks for the reply, appreciate that. Unfortunately that is not what I am asking.
You did describe the recovery options, I am asking what to do when ANY of these options STOPS posting "progress messages".
There is one and it is pretty clear
...to continue ... press...
...to stop... press "enter"
Some messages get stopped in
...timed out... doing whatever
Anyway - I need to find a way to convert these messages to text and post them here...

I had challenges and they were related to two things:
1. firefox playing media (usually video)
2. running a NVIDIA Corporation TU116 [GeForce GTX 1660] video card.
My machine would lock up for no apparent reason when I ran Firefox and viewed youtube videos.
I have never had any problems except when I ran firefox. I was kind of bummed out bec I liked Firefox but something with the NVIDIA drivers and firefox would lock up every time.
Also, have to run NVIDIA proprietary drivers -- under Software & Updates
"Using Nvidia Server Driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-535-server properiatary"
If you have an NVIDIA video it is probably the root of the issue.

I'm doing it for the author of TinyVG. I figure he shared his ideas, and even though I wasn't enthralled with them at first, they turned out more useful than I initially thought, so I may as well give back.
His ref implementation is in Zig, but seeing as this is embedded, it will reach more people if he can provide one in C, so I'll do that.
Plus it means I get another set of eyes over my stuff to make sure I did it right, and who better than the author himself?
Win all around. Just some C code and some CMake files to write.
Turns out the guy is a heavy contributor to the Zig language as well.
