I tried the program given in msdn site

In that I tried to open the msword document. While opening the document i am getting "Null reference pointer was passed to the stub". In the code i have indicated the error line. I dont know how to get the word document opened.

Anyone know if there are keyboards, preferably natural, that have a laptop style finger pad in the middle. That way I can just move the cursor with my thumb.

I experienced this question recently. The fellow, who had some minor Windoze experience, would close the open application (like Excel) before opening the next application (like the accounting software). When I told him "you don't need to close Excel, you can just leave it open", he said, "wow, that'll save me a ton of time!".
Needless to say, he would have no clue what "window flipping" meant, or the variety of ways in which to "do it".

It's funny what some people will do when they don't understand window management. One time, I was showing a receptionist something at her machine, and I minimized her email app and launched a browser. She got all upset that I'd lost her email. I was all  for a couple of seconds until I figured out what she was thinking.

I've had that experience numerous times with "the office girls". What is that makes people think so linear when they use computers, or is it that they just think linear to begin with? Maybe it shouldn't be called "Windows". Maybe it should relate more to what women (eek! sexist remarks follow!!!) are familiar with. How about "Stove Top"? That way, at least they'd get the idea that four things could be "cooking" at one time!

ooo, that's bad. 
I think it's just inexperience. Our brains can only concentrate on one thing at a time (that's why driving whilst talking on a cell phone is dangerous, if you concentrate on the call you can't concentrate on the road). There's nothing to suggest that a computer is any different, until someone comes along and says "you can just minimize Excel"

... is those little pencil-eraser nubbin thingies on laptop keyboards.  Gawd how I hate those. I have great coordination and dexterity, yet I find it absolutely impossible to use them.

I am quite the opposite. I love the little pencil-eraser-thingy-that-gets-extra-dirty-while-you-use-it nubbin.
I can't STAND touchpads... And I hate it when a laptop comes with both and won't let you turn the touchpad off... My FFS, coupled with the touchpad, tends to make me do bad things to my computer... (like format a drive, accidently delete files, etc.)

I don't like touchpads, especially the touch-click option cuz sometimes I drag my files or folders somewhere else while I don't want to move
I think small ones like pen-rubbers are better than touchpads. However, I agree on that nothing can take the place of normal mouses.
P.S. Normal mouses=wireless,optical,at least 2 buttons,1roller

I agree. Rubber sticky thingy over a track pad anyday. Though neither come close to a good old mouse.
