how would i be able to open a file and see what the first variable or character is and if so then do this otherwise do that??

I'm using the ou_thread class, or trying to and I keep getting the error that there is an unexpected end of file while looking for a precompiled header directive. Bah..

If you're using precompiled headers, every file has to begin with:
#include "stdafx.h"
That assumes you didn't change your precompiled header file in your project options. If you don't want precompiled headers, disable that in your project.
Also, why do you have #include lines with no file after them?

Note that you can disable precompiled header use on an individual file basis.

The CP parser strips them out thinking they are HTML because they start with the <

using namespace std AND namespace openutils is asking for trouble. Can you guarentee that neither of these namespaces will be extended to include something already named in the other ?
You should only #include the bits of a namespace that you are using.

I changed the settings in my project. Blarg. Let's see what other roadblocks I can encounter. This project is due tomorrow by midnight and I am SO TOAST on it.

I think the invasion game was very addicting, but needed more item and levels to really keep someone entertained for more than a little while.;P Also the game didn't have enough weapons to be cool.

Hello,
I have a "gold old" ATL Dll which is used by some applications I created. The project was originally created with VC6. Debugging this Dll by starting an application and setting breakpoints using VC6 inside the Dll has never been a problem even if the application was a managed C#-application.
After upgrading the dll-project to VS.NET 2003 I have no problems to do the same using a VC application to load the dll.
However, starting the same managed application I used before in VC6 to load the debugger now does not stop at the breakpoints. The breakpoints are marked with a ? . Hovering the mousepointer over the breakpoint shows a tooltip saying "the breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document".
As I wrote before the same procedure works perfectly loading a native VC application.
What do I have to do to be able to debug the atl dll using VS.NET 2003
Any help appreciated

Check your Project Settings: specifically Debugging/Debugger Type -- set to Native or Mixed or whatever...
