When sending characters to a modem, the sequence '+++' causes it to interpret what follows as a command instead of data to be transmitted. But since commands begin with the sequence 'AT' (attention), if what follows is something other than this sequence the modem should revert back to its previous state. I suppose that deliberately sending +++ might cause it to lose those characters, but I've never tested it. Perhaps modem designers have taken this into account, and pass them on if a command doesn't follow them.

The original question was about sockets. The sequences 'AT' or '+++' will be used when you work with modem directly via serial port.

I know, but the second question was about modems. Sockets don't care what's sent through them, as you pointed out nicely.

1. Sometimes "\r\n" is required by protocol design. Sometimes, a developer uses it for well-formatting of the source code.
2. Never mind about special characters. If the special character appears, it will be replaced automatically by escape-sequence.

Hi,
You may use a built-in Visual C++ image editor for creating own toolbar. But in this case, you are allowed to create only 16-color image toolbar.

if you want to disturbute ur exe file, then you need to build it under release mode. If your application is using some ActiveX components, then you need to copy them and register it too.

In "Project setting" - General select "Use MFC in Static Library".

its a good idea but it will increase the binary to a huge one, like in MBs you dont want ur customers to download ur file from the net that does a small task but takes ages to download.

The customer will need to download the DLLs anyway. I doubt 98 comes with the VS.NET C RTLs made in 2002.

I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

For MFC you need MFC42.dll, if you've used C as well as C++, you probably need MSVCRT as well.

Hi everyone
I have little problem with determining correct AddressOfEntryPoint in PE headers. When this param is incorrect, then I try execute exe file, Windows says, that isn't Win32 application.
How to programmatically check, which value should be contain AddressOfEntryPoint ? Is it possible to determine correct value based on other parts PE headers e.g. IMAGE_DATA_DIRECTORY ?
snippet of source code will be blessing

AddressOfEntryPoint is a realative value, that means it points to a address in the file.
Have a look at some PE tutorials, they will show you how to calculate the right value.
Don't try it, just do it!

i guess you can send data either using post or get method.
I guess get method is pretty straight forward. for post method you (and me) need more info how to do it (reference the rfc doc)
it would go like this.
Make the socket connection with the webserver.
Then depending upon POST or GET you send send the data.
I hope i am getting ur question correctly.
