Hello,
I have found some code that uploads a file from a users hard drive, to a folder on a web server.
If, and how is it possible to rename the file that has been uploaded to image1.jpg so it can later be referred to by another application?
Also, is it possible to rescale the image when it is being uploaded?
Following are the links and source code:

This original code came from http://www.macromedia.com/support/ultradev/ts/documents/client_dynamic_listbox.htm but it doesn't really show an example past two dependent list boxes. After choosing the secod box, I get an error:
Line: 160
char: 6
Error: 'options' is null or not an object
the line in question seems to be for FOR loop part
-------------------------------------------------
function clearDynaList(oList){
for (var i = oList.options.length; i >= 0; i--){
oList.options[i] = null;
}

I need some help

Hi,
I have an ASPX page where I am loading a custom web usercontrol I wrote. Now, have a placeholder on the ASPX, which I call the method placeholder.addcontrols("usercontrol1.ascx"). In the usercontrol I have a method which is being called in the the onload event. The problem right now is that if that method fails, I can't throw an exception or anything. I always get object instance not created. If I am loading the control, and it fails on the load event and I throw the exception shoudln't it go back to my aspx and I can handle it there or should I not put the method on the page load and have it somewhere else. Hope I didn't confuse anyone. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm working on an intranet site where users can bring up their excel spreadsheet (accounting template) and complete their quarterly numbers. It was easy to create this page by taking the xls file in Windows Explorer and dropping it on a FrontPage web page. Really neat stuff, it looks and acts just like excel but with many limitations. I want the users to enter their info in and then save the spreadsheet - not to their computer (which they can by clicking on the export button which goes to excel) but back to the web server. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this with an existing spreadsheet/workbook? Any example code?
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Mike

what you need to use is something like this:
<%= Request.ServerVariables("remote_addr") %>
The above line in your asp code will give you the clients IP address
void signature(){
cout<<"Sobbayi Interactive"<

This is all I can find: ActiveX Data Objects[^]. It appears to have been updated for the latest MDAC 2.8[^] version. From the article, MDAC 2.8 is an update following a security review of the previous product, but doesn't appear to change any significant functionality. MS recommends testing apps based on MDAC 2.8 on a non-production machine, of course.;)

If you are trying to publish content in XLS or DOC Format in ASP, you must add a Contet-Type line for example:
<br />

%><br />
<br />

YES... but, will that influence my ASP page. AS far as I understand ASP and ASPX and processed by seperate work process..

Does anyone know of a PHP implementation for the blowfish algorithm?
I am aware of the Perl CPAN module for blowfish, but i'm really looking for a PHP version...?
Anyone know of such a thing...?
Thanks
p.s-Perhaps a C CGI script which can encrypt and decrypt data that I can call would be ideal in this situtation for the performance improvment I would get???
TIA
How do I print my voice mail?

|

blowfish is one of the supported algorithms in the mcrypt library as far as i know ... i use a different encryption / decryption cipher thru these libraries ... let me know if u want some source code

Edit: I just did a google search and found it...now I just hope my hosting provider supports mcrypt
Source code for a blowfish would be awesome
Otherwise I have to call a perl script to encrypt/decrypt which I don't want to do...or port blowfish from C++ to PHP...which might cause me some serious headaches...
mcrypt library eh,...where would I find such a lib...?
Thanks

This is my first update record and I'm trying to get ideals on a great way to do it. I am basically using a checkbox to select a record to update. I was able to borrow some code "The Code Project (ASP Help Board, similiar to ASPFREE)". A nice guy name Torsten Mauz left the link. So I incorporated it into my code, but I can't get it to work. Can someone give it a look...and spread the wealth... the Code is below.
