Good luck... What you're looking for is hardly trivial with most implementations to be found in C++. There are no "drop-in" components that I can find.
Search the web for "Speaker dependent recognition" and you'll come up with a bunch of research projects and articles, using various API's and libraries, to write your own implementation.

Hi,
I want to make a search program (for comparision statement) where my table structure is like.
table1
slno number
prod_code1 char(20)
prod_desc char(100)
price number
prod_code2 char(20)
prod_code3 char(20)
prod_code4 char(20)
now I want a screen to display all the field with blank initially for search from the table. when the user fills any one field or two fields or three, with exact value of the field in table or some value like prod_code2 is having a value in table like 'ZM/1764/152/137' now the user can enter exactly the same value or the user can enter value like 'ZM' or '1764' or '1764/152',,, the result should be shown in a flex grid form with all the columns of that row, so that the user will take the value he want .
I want the program with table security facility (i.e., no modifications to the table from backend), and as a standalone program so that it can be stored on to a cd and to distribute to my field staff.
Pl. help me with a better solution code design.
Thanx,
Raju.

kujal u can forget combobox and instead that u can use data combobox u can add this by project components microdatalistcontrols 6.0
and create connection and reord set object it has bound column listfield and rowsouce properties
i am giving you an example we have emp_mas table
so our emp_id is bound column and what we fill in combo is list field and our row source is recordset name this wil fil the data in data combobox
Set objCon = New ADODB.Connection 'creating a new connection object
Set objrsData = New ADODB.Recordset 'creating a new recordset object to fill the names of employees in the data combo box
objCon.Open ("Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Persist Security Info=False;User ID=sa; pwd=sajv3;Initial Catalog=pubs;Data Source=rs")
objrsData.Open "select emp_id,emp_fname from emp_mas order by emp_fname", objCon, adOpenStatic, adLockReadOnly
Set dcmbData.RowSource = objrsData
dcmbData.ListField = "emp_fname"
dcmbData.BoundColumn = "emp_id"

I've got a bit of a painting performance issue with a project I'm working on.
The project has a 800x600 main screen that is filled with a custom Panel control that paints two overlapping transparent images (PNG in this case). I then have a dozen big custom button controls that sit on top of this panel. The buttons are also bitmapped and are about 150x100 in size. They all load different bitmaps.
The problem I am having is that when the screen needs to repaint, the background repaints first, leaving "holes" where the buttons should be and then the buttons paint. This can take up to a second on my machine and the effect is less than ideal.
I have already implemented cacheing of all bitmaps involved and turned on double buffering. My main issue is the "holes" while the buttons repaint.
Any ideas?

So, search the Web for "Parental Controls" and "Parental Filters" for proxy servers.

Buddy,
This world does not keep spies. Think of another business. This is a VB.NET forum, not for spies.

How can I make a program stay on top of all other programs and never steal the focus?
thanks.

Ok, I did it. I admit it. I programmed myself into a corner and I need a bit of help.
I am trying to build an event registration system where clients can register to an event arbiter to receive specific events. The registrations are kept in a hashtable and the tables is keyed on the text name of the event and the table data is an address of the function I want to call whe nthe event comes in.
I have everything figured out except how to USE the address stored in the hashtable to call the public subroutine of the object that subscribed to the event.
UGH!
ANY Ideas?

I'm not entirely sure I completely understood what your problem was, but have you considered using delegates as they will automatically maintain an internal linked-list of the methods you want to invoke and call them for you when you invoke the event. Let me know if I am off base here.

I looked over delegates but it seemed to me that they were for cases where you already new the type of the object ahead of time. In my case I might not know the type ahead of time. The entire purpose of this is to have plug-in type objects register some functions with my event arbiter object so that when the event arbiter gets an event it can decide to pass the event on to the plug-in that has registered to get that event.
All I was really looking for was a way for the plug in to give the event arbiter the address of one of it's methods so it could be called. I have the subscription part worked out in my head but I can't figure out how to get the event arbiter to actually use the address that the plug-in gave it during registration.
I might end up rethinking this a bit and maybe using reflection to do a InvokeMember instead.
