I think its either an MSN toolbar or a Google Toolbar. These are very useful to surpress pop-ups.

Any network monitoring program should be capable. See for example Network Monitor that comes with server editions of Windows (you may need to install it from Add/Remove Windows Components).
Over a TCP/IP network, these messages are sent using the NetBIOS Mailslot protocol on UDP port 139. The Messenger service's mailslot is named 'messngr'.

Rohit,
if you're looking to track it from the machine it was sent, or the machine recieving, this is possible. You need to park your software listening on the network stack, and pick up this kind of traffic and log it.
If you are looking at tracking all messages that are sent on a network, success will depend on what kind of network. If it is switched, forget it. If it is a normal hub (or a switch port set to promiscuous mode), then you can "listen in".
Look in the Networking section on Firewalls, and you'll see a couple of examples of how to latch on to the network traffic.

Hi:
While I was in one web site, I highlighted some text and copied it to clipboard, then pasted it into word document.
However, when I tried to print it, I only got blank pages.
My question is: are there some print properties that these sites set so that others can't print their stuff?. If so how to get around it? This is the only site I encountered printing problem with.

I have done the simiar thing and printed many articles for that matter. I never had any problem doing it.
but make sure you select only the article text and graphices associated with it, dont select the ADs

Did u select any graphics and were u online when u tried to print... sometimes this gives problems as the graphics may nnot b available after the 'internet' connection is 'out'

I never heard that xp logs itself off if you do not use it.
You probably mean the screen saver which requires you to enter password again?. If that is the case, then just right click mouse anywhere on desk top, then select properties and then de-click "On resume, display welcome screen".

If you're in a domain or on a server, system admins can enforce a logout policy after so many minutes of inactivity or when your login hours are up in order to increase security. They may not take too kindly if you alter this.
If you're not, then you might have (or someone else) installed a third party auto logoff.

Within MSDN, you should be able to check the requirements section of each class and it will tell you what platforms are supported. This sometimes helps when determining what each version of the Framework will support.
I know your question was a bit higher level, but I just wanted to add that tidbit of info.

In the recent past, I used to be able to download files from a particular website, but for over a week now, that has not been the case. When I brought the situation to the attention of the webmaster, his reply was that the problem has been corrected, and that I should try doing a "cache refresh".
What is a "cache refresh" and how does one go about doing it? If by chance, doing a "cache refresh" means going to Internet Explorer and doing a Tools->Internet Options->General->Delete Files, I've already done that and the problem still exists.
If there's any significance to it, I am using IE 6.0 and Win2K.

AFAIK a cache refresh is when you hit Ctrl-F5 on a webpage... HTH

Doing a "cache refresh" was not the reason for being unable to do downloads. It was the new web address the site was using, which I had to inform the firewall on my system to accept files from. As soon as that was done, I was once again able to do downloads.
Just goes to show, a simple thing as informing visitors to a website that certain parts of the name had been changed, could avoid problems from happening. (BTW, I'm NOT talking about CodeProject. AAMOF, I wish other websites would take notice of the way CP goes about caring and maintaining its site, showing how some problems could easily be avoided.)
