Does anyone have any code for stripping all types of JavaScript out of an HTML document?
It needs to support stuff between tags as well as elements like onload=, etc.
Thanks.

Take a look at strstr()
char hello[1234];
strcpy(hello,"My name is Andreas and i am a programmer");
char *pnt;
pnt=strstr(hello,"Andreas");
int len=pnt-hello;
char space[100];
::MessageBox(0,_itoa(len,space,10),"Found at",0);

I am in urgent need of some source code that can be found on the CD that comes with the book "Inside MAPI". This book is out of print now.
I am attempting to (and would like code that relevant to) write an Address Book Provider.
ANY help will be appreciated.
By the way, I do know of the C sample in MSDN. It is far to difficult for me, not only because it's c, but it is COM in C, and that presents too many difficulties.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have the book, but I could send you some sample code that sends an email with an attachment....

I am trying to programmatically change the mouse
horizontal/vertical sensitivity within MSVC++ 5.0. I am
using inline assembly to invoke mouse interrupts (INT 33) to
Get and then Set the sensitivities. (Microsoft took the
Int86() function out of this version.) My problem is I lose
my mouse buttons when forcing this interrupt and I have to
reboot to get them back.
I have disassembled some current mouse drivers and am
confident(not really) that I am using the correct assembly
code. I suspect that because I am invoking the INT 33 as a
result of a button push on a dialog box that the message
queue or interrupt handler is going recursive. But I am not
sure.
I can set the mouse acceleration factors just fine by using
the SystemParametersInfo() function.
Can anyone give me a hint or a different technique on
setting the mouse sensitivities.
Below is the inline asm listing. It is in the OnHScroll
event for a slider bar.
__asm{
push ebx
push ecx
push edx
mov ax,0x001b
INT 0x33 //MOUSE_INT
mov [h], bx
mov [v], cx
mov [s], dx
pop edx
pop ecx
pop ebx
xor ax, ax
}
Thanks in advance. . .

I have seen several apps on Win98 that use softshape's
ActiveSkin ActiveX control. Mostly this control allows people
to haev a coherent means for creating skinned 'applications'. It includes
one function that allows you to set a transparency level.
If you download the control right from softshape you can use the
Visual Studio tools to view the interfaces their control provides.
There is an app called BoxCard @ http://softini.cjb.net
that uses this feature and will let you see it in action
I've tried several things briefly to try and implement some transluceny. It
is pretty easy to make a translucent menu or
dialog as long as it is WITHIN a frame window or something. You can
just make owner draw controls that get the parentdc and alphablend the
control DC with the parents. This works really well if you have a
stable bitmap background. However, this become very hard to do when you
have other windows moving around behind a translucent control or
you try to do this on the windows desktop.
Win2K provides a LayeredWindow to help with this. Does anyone have access to
a W2K dev kit that contains this implementation? I check my VC 6 for this
but it does not seem to be included. I'd like to see how they did this.
I also considered it might be possible to control how windows draws the
window, after all - doing this can't befar off from what programs like eFX
and WindowBlinds have been doing to change the frame bars on existing
windows already.
- Eric
Any suggestions? I plan on putting all this info together with some other
controls I've made and putting it up on the web with source. MFc is nice,
but its really easy to think of semi-simple things that are very diffculut
to do - like change an image on a static control (w/o hiding an existing one
and displaying a new control) Anyways, I'm getting off on a tangent. Please
let me know you thoughts or tips.

You can retrieve the Windows 200 SDK from Microsoft's website.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/isapi/msdnlib.idc?theURL=/library/psdk/sdkintro/mainport.htm
Here you can find examples and information on them. You can also download the PlatformSDK for January 2000 if you wish too.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/sdks/platform/platform.asp
And then Click "Platform SDK Setup" under the Installation Heading.
Hope it helps,
-Erik

Hi All,
In my app I need to send e-mail directly.
I use Simle MAPI for that and it works fine.
The problem is that want to send formatted text.
When I tried to set the message text to HTML text some e-mail programs (Like Eudora Pro) rendered it fine.
However other e-mail programs (Outlook and Outlook Express) do not render it and just show the html source.
I know that there is a way to send formatted text since Word does it.
I already called Microsoft Tech Support and they couldn't give me an answer.
Can anyone help?
Thans,
Eli.

Hi Eli,
you cannot send formatted text with Simple MAPI by default (although some mail readers parse it correctly), because you cannot specify the format of the content in Simple MAPI. With Extended MAPI you can specify the encoding of the message body (text/HTML or text/RTF).
For a sample, see Microsoft's MSDN online (search.microsoft.com/us/dev/) and search for article "Q216344".

I have a simple soucecode. I should not be a problem to implement it with MFC once you understand how it works (unfortinally the reverse is not so easy. MFC to simple function)
Why does the program use other y pos than it was assigned?
Sleep can solve bugs that is hard to find.
Remove the comment to se the effect of sleep.
