Go the Project/Settings menu, then click on C/C++, select 'Precompiled Headers' from the category dropdown, and switch them off.

don't your problem come from that error ? :
fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive
try to place the #include "stdafx.h" before all other includes...

Sometimes you do have to disable precompiler headers inorder to compile.

hello all,
here i am designing an SDI Doc/View application. Instead CView i had used the CFormView to display my dialog inthe view. As given in the MSDN, i had followed a procedure to change that dialog in the view dynamically. But the problem is that the newly displayed dialog is not responding for various events(WM_COMMAND,...).
How shall i make it to work properly.

here is my code:
IADsOpenDSObject *pDSO;<br />
HRESULT hr;<br />
<br />
hr = ADsGetObject(L"WinNT:", IID_IADsOpenDSObject, (void**) &pDSO);<br />
if (SUCCEEDED(hr))<br />
{<br />
IDispatch *pDisp;<br />
hr = pDSO->OpenDSObject(L"WinNT://iqlsoftware", L"ashokm", L"password", ADS_SECURE_AUTHENTICATION, &pDisp);<br />
if(SUCCEEDED(hr))<br />
AfxMessageBox("Success");<br />

It works fine now. only thing I forgot was to use ::CoInitialize() and ::CoUninitialize().

I want a true replacement for MFC Sockets due to its bugs and inefficiency , so can anybody refer me a socket library(free or commercial) which has almost same public interface of MFC sockets but efficient that MFC sockets.
I have some existing projects which are running with MFC sockets , so i want such kind of replacement which doesnt change the existing code very much , but certainly should increase the performence.

I've written an ISAPI Filter that tries to grab the Session object(ISessionObject) via the ObjectContext. There are several examples of this in regular(non-ISAPI Filter) DLLs, but non for an ISAPI filter. My code for getting the object context appears ok.
When I attached my ISAPI filter to the inetinfo process and stopped it at a breakpoint, it gave the "There is no MTS object context" error.
Am I trying the impossible? Cna one not get an mts object context in an ISAPI filter?
TIA,
Andy C.

I am doing a Project using MFC & GDI+.for that I have to add a function called "EXPORT".In the export function ,export the Images as bmp file format,jpg file format & EPS file format.I have already done the bmp & jpg part.I can export Images as a bmp & jpg File formats. for that I have used folllowing Major codes.
Image image(L"Mosaic.bmp");
Graphics* imageGraphics = Graphics::FromImage(&image);
image.Save(wst, &imageClsid, NULL);
BUT It is not work for the EPS file format.I think GDI+ is not supported to EPS.
SO any one know the correct solution to this please send a reply immediatelly.
Thanks.

I have just got visual basic C++ and all of the tutorials that i have read and have tried the stuff that they have writen in it says that there are errors and none of the stuff they have work.
can any one help me with this problem
|
|
|
|

sure - read the tutorials again.
Seriously, you've not given us much to go on. What errors ? What are you trying to do ? It's bound to be a mistake with your interpretation, it's doubtful that all the tutorials you've found are broken.
Whats 'visual basic C++' ???

i want to know how to transform bmp file to jpg file, and jpg file to bmp. Can you give me some information and source code about these? thank you.
|
|
|
|

GDI+ will do this for you. Otherwise, the source code is way too big to post here. Download paintlib or something if you must.

BMP to JPG:-
Graphics graphics(hdc);
Image image(L"Mosaic.bmp");
graphics.DrawImage(&image, 10, 10);
CLSID pngClsid;
GetEncoderClsid(L"image/jpg", &pngClsid);
image.Save(L"pubudu.jpg", &pngClsid, NULL);

There is no direct method to do it in VC++. U can easily do it using GDI+.
Instead that if u want to do it in VC++ itself, then go for Intel Graphics Library. Add it to ur project. This is one of the way we have to do that.
http://developer.intel.com/software/products/perflib/ijl/
and u can check this in CP also
http://www.codeproject.com/bitmap/CXImage.asp#options
and other freeimage libraries can be helpfull to u.

I am trying to determine the classname for a program since the program's title changes depending on what file is open. I have MSVS and tried Spy++ but that classname didnt work for some reason. I am trying to do something like this (set for calculator for test purposes)
HWND hWnd1;
hWnd1 = FindWindow("SciCalc", NULL);
SendMessage(hWnd1, WM_CLOSE,0,0);
Now SciCalc is the classname Spy++ shows but it wont even shut down calculator, whereas if I put the application name as "Calculator" then it will close the program.
So I guess my question is how can I determine a classname to use with FindWindow.

FindWindow has 2 inputs ,classname and windowtitle....
So you should know either of them.
Generally in mfc application where you want to lookup an window you "custom" register a class and give that classname in precreatewindow event.
this way you are sure which window you are looking for as you know the class name.

I'm aware of that but if its a program that I didn't create then how can I find out the class name?
