Yeah but what I was trying to say is that if I put that
window.open("http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=\"hello world\"&btnG=Google+Search");
wich would look like this for the toolbar
since I have to replace q=\"hello world\" with q=\"%s\"
window.open("http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=\"%s\"&btnG=Google+Search");
It works but now every search will have quotes and that wont work.
Thanks guys for trying to help me!!!

Ok, I have a problem with my update form function, I have this in my insert form that works well;
<form ACTION="<%=MM_editAction%>" METHOD="POST" name="STPEDMS" id="STPEDMS" onsubmit="STPEDMS.path.value=STPEDMS.stub.value">
<td height="10" class="tableheader">Document Path</td>
<td height="10" colspan="2"> <input type="hidden" name="path" />
<input name="stub" type="file" size="96" maxlength="256" /> </td>
<td height="10"> </td>
</form>
This works great, but now I need to have a similar form for my update function, but no matter how do it, I am not able to get the field to show back up in my field showing where the file linkage goes to. This way if it was wrong I could browse to the correct link.
I think my problem is in part to the hidden field and not being able to show it.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
You are only as good as your last project.

Hello... I've been trying to program a SOAP Console Client using the SoapReceiver class to receive soap messagse via http. However, the following error message continually pops up when I try to register the soap receiver. Everything works fine when the client is specified using soap.tcp:// but as soon as I try to use http:// (which apache soap sends back by the way)... this is what I get as an exception.
"A valid HttpContext is required for Active HTTP Listening."
Could anyone offer any suggestions.

My place of employment has just upgraded to an online 3rd party java applet to do payroll. Basically I want to write a script or program that will automate the monotonous data entry of my hours. They don't change so it would be more efficient to script it. I figure the easiest way would be just to pass keystrokes to the web browser. However I cannot "tab" into the java applet within the browser. I've tried with all major browsers so it's universal. Does anyone have any ideas for setting focus on a java applet? Any cell within the applet would probably do.

I get this error message when I upload a site as a subdirectory at the ISP that host my site. When I test the site on my Local Win 2000 Server there is no such errors. Could this be security related at the ISP? --> Remember I don't get any syntax errors when I test the site locally.

Can someone help me with this please
I have a html page with an iframe.Whenever I click on a link on the page so that the linked page loads in the iframe, there should be a progress bar showing the pragress of the loading page. My page is a popup and doesnot have a status bar. So I can't understand how much the page loading in the iframe has progressed.
I found a few DHTML progres bars but I couldn't get them to work.

You will need some type of back-end(read: server-side) code to handle form data coming from your HTML page (CGI), as well back-end code to retrieve data from the SQL DB to insert into your HTML prior to sending it to the client.

Spend some time with MSDN online, and read up on ASP and ADO. The .Net versions make it easier, I'm told, but the classic forms work nicely.
Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

what u have built is a static web site from html files
what u want is a dynamic web site built from html BUT this time the html is generated by the server-side scripting language (for example, asp or php) and the scripting language is what talks to the database and generates the html based upon what it reads from the database

Have you tried Instant Messaging? SMS? Why re-invent the wheel, there are lots of programs out there?
It is not possible to do a web based chat room purely in the client browser, so JavaScript is out. You can use just about any other language though.
|
|
|
|
|
Use PHP, JSP, ASP.NET or CGI then...
But I would just use MSN or ICQ or YAHOO messangers!

Real time chat (like ICQ or MSN) you will need either ActiveX or Java.
