Oops ... found the answer, and it is not a good one. From Microsoft support ... "403.9 - Too many users. The number of users who are connected to the server exceeds the connection limit that you have set. For additional information about how to change this limit, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

I am writing a script to use the Content-Type: application\/force-download to download a file to an end-user.
My script is working and I can download the file but in the "Save As" dialog box there are the following fields:
"File Name:"
"File Type:"
"From"
How do I supply those fields to the browser?
Also is there a want to suggest what the name of the saved file should be.
Thank you, in advance.

This is what I used recently when I had to dump a text file to the user and have them download it instead of display it:
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename=Test.txt");
Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", s.Length.ToString());
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream";
Response.Write(s);
Response.End();

That is what I give you. Using that code it will (at least it does on my system) fill in the file type, filename and the "From" comes from the domain name.

On my system, IE 6.0.2800.1106 the file type is blank and filename is the name of the file that runs the script not the name of the file to be downloaded?
Any ideas?

I want to check sql injection for my sites...
is there any checking tools?
thanks.

A simple check is do you concatenate SQL strings anywhere on your site, or more specifically do you take variables directly from form / querystring vars and build them straight into the sql string. If yes, then you are faced with the problem.

Anyone use any special techiques to protect e-mail addresses on a web site from spam harvesters?
So far, the ideas I've run across:
a) use html numeric equivalents for the address. "examblah". I don't see how this will help once the spam bots detect hex values.
b) use words in place of symbols. "joe at place dot net" A pain for users to edit the address.
c) use forms - protects from spam, but not as easy to use for users; user has to type their own addy and may accidently enter wrong address.
Any ideas?
It's a php based site.

If it's a PHP web site then the best thing to do is have the server send your emails.
If you can't send email from your server or you just want people to send email using their outlook, then the best appraoch i've seen is a clever javascript approach.
I believe it worked somehting like:
Basically capture onclick inside a ANCHOR tag. and store the actual email address in seperate variables.
var name = "Name"
var domain = "hotmail"
var postfix = "com"
this.href = "mailto: "+name+"@"+domain+"."+postfix;
You may have to play around with it cuz this code wasn't tested, but I know it works (the idea anyways) so you should be able to go from here.

The application should also use a web robot if possible. I would be glad if you took time to help me here. You can mail me at michubu@hotmail.com.

Wrong forum I think.
Sounds like you want some sort of internet proxy which prevents browsers from viewing certain sites.
If so then here is some advice.
Look at articles here on CP there are a few that already basically have everything you need.

It is not possible to disallow people from saving from IE. Anything which is rendered to the browser can be saved by user.

It's a bug, confirmed by Microsoft. See here[^]. Anyways, it works with FireFox.

Can I compile browser JScript into a IL byte code using JScript.NET?
If so once my code is in compiled form can I still use it like I would interpreted script from a web page?
Would my users have to download any kind of active X control or anything? Would everything be OK so long as they had IE 6 or would they need to download the .NET dll's or do they dome with IE 6?
Cheers

I cannot for the life of me find an example of JScript/javascript regex which would strip only a given tag.
Can someone give me the regex required to strip only a single tag?
I cannot just do a simple find for P tags or something and remove them, becuase each element may have attributes as well.
So
<b>test</b>
<b style="font-size: 12pt">test</b>
Must output:
test
In a perfect world I would like a routine similar to PHP strip_tags() where I could specifiy which tags I wanted removed.
strip_tags(org_text, tags_not_2_keep);
called as:
strip_tags("some text", "p, b, i, iframe");
The above function would strip all tags, BUT p, b, i, iframe
If anyone knows of a javascript function which does this...I would really appreciate you showing me it.
Cheers

I have found the following but it needs a bit of tweaking:
String.prototype.strip_tags = function() {
return this.replace(/<\/?[a-z]+>/gi, '');
}

Try something like this:
function stripTags(value, exclude, tagsToExclude)
{
if ("string" != typeof(value) || 0 == value.length) return "";
if ("boolean" != typeof(exclude)) exclude = true;
var arrTags = null;
var tagCount = 0;
switch(typeof(tagsToExclude))
{
case "object":
if (Array == tagsToExclude.constructor)
{
tagCount = tagsToExclude.length;
if (0 == tagCount)
{
arrTags = new Array();
for(var key in tagsToExclude)
{
arrTags.push(tagsToExclude[key]);
tagCount++;
}
}
else
{
arrTags = tagsToExclude;
}
}
break;
case "string":
var len = arguments.length;
tagCount = len - 2;
arrTags = new Array(tagCount);
arrTags[0] = tagsToExclude;
for(var i = 3; i < len; i++)
{
arrTags[i - 2] = arguments[i];
}
break;
}
if (!exclude && 0 == tagCount) return value;
var reTag = /<\/?([a-z0-9]+)[^>]*>/gi;
if (0 == tagCount)
{
return value.replace(reTag, "");
}
else if (exclude)
{
return value.replace(reTag, function($0, $1)
{
var tagName = $1.toLowerCase();
var found = false;
for(var i=0; i < tagCount && !found; i++)
{
if (arrTags[i] == tagName) found = true;
}
return found ? $0 : "";
});
}
else
{
return value.replace(reTag, function($0, $1)
{
var tagName = $1.toLowerCase();
var found = false;
for(var i=0; i < tagCount && !found; i++)
{
if (arrTags[i] == tagName) found = true;
}
return found ? "" : $0;
});
}
}
value = stripTags(value, exclude, "p", "b", "i", "iframe");
