Using pull method i can display the image in the crystal report. this can be done by using the subreport.
But when we are using the push method, how is it possible to use sub report ...?
or is there any other method by which i can display the image on the report.

When I saw the header of this article I thought it may help me with the functionality i'm looking for.
I'm going to create a report at runtime, let the user select a bunch of fields, create the dataset on the fly and pass it to the report and show it. Sounds simple doesn't it?

Hi. I'm using VS.NET 2002 and RAS to make some reports. I want to use the push method to implement these reports.
But when I am trying to push a dataset that has a image column into crystal report, an error always displays:
"System.ArgumentException: Type System.Byte[] can not be marshaled as an
unmanaged structure; no meaningful size or offset can be computed"
It almost makes me mad,I don't know how to resolve this problem!
Pls help me! Thanks!

hi,
i am doing a project wherein i need to connect mysql database with asp.net & then generate crystalreports.
i have already made the connection & it works fine with my first page set up.i need to take an item from the drop down list which i populated from myfirst webpage & then generate a crystal report for the same.the drop down list is being populated from the database which is myfrist page.later i need to bind this to a crystal report.
i am doing it with the push model.intially i select a dataset item & then try to drop table from mysql database.it gives me an error stating that the wizard detected the following problem when configuring the data adapter for "table name"
error in select clause :expression near""
error in from clause :near""
unable to parse query text.
when i do the same that is drag & drop with a diferent database that is sqlserver 2000 i don't face any such problem.
would like to know that the push model that u have dissuced is not applicable for generating a dataset for mysql database.
when i found that your method of generating a dataset did not work i draged and droped a dataadapter from the tool box and then generated a dataset .but i feel that i am conflicting the push method mentioned by u.because i am again writing the code for it in the form .when i do this i get an error stating that the "pop up window is blocked".
let me know what is the right way of generating a crystal report from mysql databse using a dataset.
thanks,
saira

Hi do you how can i disapear the crystal report logo. I need to eliminate this logo in my asp.net web reports, hope you can help
Thanks

I am just starting Crystal Reports... so, lemme give u the idea I use....
Go to this folder of the PC / server from where ur ASP.NET app runs...
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Crystal Reports\Viewers\images\ToolBar
Here is where the pictures for the toolbar is set... you can edit / change the pictures. Just put a black transparent picture there to solve the problem!!
Will post info, if I found the actual method to replace the logo... lemme know if you found another method for the same!!
I was born intelligent Education ruined me!.

You can set the HasCrystalLogo property of the Crystal Viewer to false.
You either do it in the properties window for the viewer (in Design view) or programmatically in the code behind.
In Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET (2002 and 2003) HasCrystalLogo property don't exists... you can buy Crystal or modify logo image or hide all toolbar...
CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalReportViewer crv;
use this method: crv.HasCrystalLogo
1
Just set the property to false in the crystalviewer propeties box.
Just a note......the crystal logo is a simple gif image. You can find it on your system and change it to anything you want allowing you to replace the crystal image with you own. All you have to do is rename your image to whatever the crystal image is named.
