Adding resizable=no will eliminate the min/max button, but I don't think the security model in JavaScript permits you to eliminate the close button unless you use signed scripts.

resizable: specifies whether to display resize handles at the corners of the window, not eliminate the min/max buttons!...
What are signed scripts?!
Thanks for yoour time!!!
function foo() {
window.open("about:blank",null,"resizable=0");
}
Click this page and window.open() is called.

Sorry about that, I must have confused it with dialog windows. I don't think that you can do what you want with just JavaScript windows. Here are some good links though.
Here are two good sites:

In your servercontrol, you can add the hyperlink. if if you know the address that they need to go when users click it, then put it there or you can dynamically set it by passing parameter to your server control..

When I run the following code the alert box does not show the name attribute. Why?
<html>
<script>
function addRow(){
tr = document.createElement("tr");
td = document.createElement("td");
input = document.createElement("input");
input.setAttribute("name", "rdo1");
input.setAttribute("type", "radio");
tr.appendChild(td);
td.appendChild(input);
alert(tr.innerHTML);
tb = document.getElementById("tbody");
tb.appendChild(tr);
}
</script>
<body>
<table borders=1 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1>
<form name="ll">
<tbody id="tbody">
</tbody>
</table>
<input type=button value="add row" onclick="addRow()">
</form>
</body>
</html>

I don't know why, but it works if you write it uppercase:
input.setAttribute("Name", "rdo1");

Thanks; however I still can't click on it or attach javascript. Any thoughts?

For some reason it's not possible to set the name attribute. But you can specify it in the createElement command. This should work:
<html>
<script>
function addRow(){
tr = document.createElement("tr");
td = document.createElement("td");
input = document.createElement("<input type=\"radio\" name=\"rdo1\" >");
input.value = "rdo1";
tr.appendChild(td);
td.appendChild(input);
alert(tr.innerHTML);
tb = document.getElementById("tbody");
tb.appendChild(tr);
}
</script>
<body>
<form name="ll">
<table borders=1 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1>
<tbody id="tbody">
</tbody>
</table>
<input type=button value="add row" onclick="addRow()">
</form>
</body>
</html>

Session state is not shared between ASP and ASP.NET applications.
The object model was retained into ASP.NET to make code-conversion easy but setting a Session instance in ASP won't make it available in ASP.NET.
You will have to manually transfer it between the ASP and ASP.NET pages. Either through the QueryString, persisted in a database, via cookies or hidden form fields.

I need some help finding a memory leak in an isapi extension I am maintaining. This extension leaks memory at a rate of 7mb every 5 minutes. I've been thru the Code Project article: Memory(-Leak) and Exception Trace (CRT and COM Leaks) by Jochen Kalmbach and it seems to be COM objects that are leaking. His approach doesn't work well with COM.
I've tried using UMDH.exe from MS, but am not able to set gflags for inetinfo.exe.
Any help at finding these leaks and/or using umdh.exe is appreciated.

Here is the prodject that I'm working on. I have a phone system that produces a CDR file which is just a tab delimited text file showing all the incoming/outgoing calls. I need to convert this to a RSS feed. Right now I can link to the text file using the ODBC to text file link and I learned that I need to us a schema.ini file to make this approach work right. I also already have a XMLS file to format a wellformed XML file into the RSS file I need. My issue is I just don't know the best we to get the data into that first well formed XML file. I learned about something called ADODB.Stream but not sure if that is the way. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q271620
Should I just use the Microsoft.XMLDOM? Any help to point me in the right direction would be great!

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a custom cursor during drag and drop in IE.
I have a some script-function-events asigned to an image object:
Simalar to the following:
<br />
function handleMouseMove(e) {<br />
if (!e) var e = window.event;<br />
var elm = e.srcElement;<br />
elm.dragDrop();<br />
}<br />
<br />
function handleDragStart(e) {<br />
}<br />
<br />
function handleDraging(e) {<br />
}<br />
<br />
function handleDragEnd(e) {<br />
}<br />
So what I want is to asign an other cursor thatn the default 'no-drop' when draging the specified object (an image).
Thanks!

I am trying to fetch webpage using .net classes ( HttpWebResponse/request) I am getting whole page as html .but no images and other resources like applets .
Any idea how to download images and applets ,for displaying page correctly ?
yk
|
|
|
|
|
You will have to make subsequent HttpWebRequest calls for each resource you find in the HTML page. So parse for images, applets, CSS, JS etc. files and create a HttpWebRequest for each.

On my web site I have enabled spamasassin, using my own user_prefs file, but regardless of what I set the score to, once the event is triggered the score is always set in the email headers as 1, not 20 as in the example below.
Now is it me, or am I doing something wrong? Has anyone go this working with Spamasssassin 3.0.0?
<br />
# Display all the scores<br />
add_header all tf Score Values (_TESTSSCORES(,)_)<br />
<br />
rawbody TF_RAWBODY_WARNING_1 /message\.scr/i<br />
score TF_RAWBODY_WARNING_1 20<br />

Hi
All you need is to add the keyword desc
SELECTOR="SELECT * FROM MYTABLE WHERE MYDEF LIKE '%"& search &"%' ORDER BY MYDATE desc
|
|
|
|
|
the default is ascend, you want to descend, just append the string "DESC"
thus your new SQL is:
SELECTOR="SELECT * FROM MYTABLE WHERE MYDEF LIKE '%"& search &"%' ORDER BY MYDATE DESC"

It appears that a Web Service thread is safe unless you either Thread.Sleep() or create a new thread. Is that correct? I was worried that a second client could enter a [WebMethod] while the first client was doing things such as working with Hashtables or the Registry (both of which are suppose to be very thread unsafe. Therefore I wrote the following two WebMethods below to check out whether the threads would switch if Test() was called by one client and test1() would be called by another and the threads didn't appear to switch. Test() loops for a long time (about 20 seconds) while creating 10 entries in a Hashtable and reading the Registry 10 times. Test1() should immediately return a value. I start Test() with one client and then immediately start Test1() with a second client and the second client doesn't return until the first client completes which makes me think that the threads are safe. If I place a Tread.Sleep(1) in Test(), the second client returns immediately indicating that the thread will switch with a Thead.Sleep().
[WebMethod]
public int Test()
{
Hashtable x;
RegistryKey RegKey;
string Value;
string Path;
x = new Hashtable();
for(int i=0; i<10; i++)
{
for(long l=0; l<300000000; l++)
{
}
x.Add(i, "1234567");
Path = "Software\\MyTest\\MyTest\\Net\\Configuration\\"+i.ToString();
RegKey = Registry.CurrentUser.OpenSubKey(Path, true);
if(RegKey == null)
{
try
{
RegKey = Registry.CurrentUser.CreateSubKey(Path);
}
catch (Exception e)
{
e = e;
return(0);
}
}
Value = Convert.ToString(RegKey.GetValue(i.ToString(), ""));
RegKey.Close();
}
return(5);
}
[WebMethod]
public int Test1()
{
return(1);
}
