Hey All,
I would like to be able to access functions within an application extension on my pocket pc.
Specifically, I have an HP Photosmart Mobile Camera and would like to write a VB app that does the following:
I click on a button on my form and then the program captures an image.
I noticed a couple of application extensions in the Windows directory of my pocket pc...

Hi all,
I am developing a PPC application. I want to use RDA with MSDE database.
I cant find sscesa20.dll on my PC (maybe because I dont have SQL CE Server Agent installed )
I heard around that I only need sscesa20.dll for RDA.
Please correct if I am wrong. And tell me a way to find this dll without installing something.
Thanks in advance.

I dont know the CDIBSectionLite class , but it seems to me you forgot to link to a library (in Project\Settings )
or (not likely but possible) maybe you forgot to add the .cpp file to your project??
Hope this helps you some...

Hi, I'm using the CbitmapButton class in a dialog box. When I use the "AutoLoad" member to load the bitmaps, it's works ok. Is there a way to use the "LoadBitmaps" member instead "Autoload"?? (I have read in the help that "loadBitmap" can be used only under a window, not for in dialog use).
I try it and using "LoadBitmaps" it doesn't paint the bitmaps:
// Create a push button.
m_MyBOTON.Create(NULL, BS_PUSHBUTTON|BS_OWNERDRAW, CRect(100,100,100,100), this, IDC_MYBOTON);
m_MyBOTON.LoadBitmaps(IDB_UP, IDB_DOWN, 0, 0);
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Javier.

Hi people,
I am deploying a cab file to a PPC using the CeAppMgr.exe and as the cab file is being passed to be copied on the PPC a default question is showed whether I want to install the application to its default directory or to the storage card (if there is any). Does anyone knows if there is a way this question not to be shown.
Thanks in advance

I am writing an application that provides reminders and alerts in C# for Windows Mobile 2003 (CE.NET).
Is there an event, timer, or interrupt I can set to wake the device up at a particular time?
The Calendar program seems to be able to completely wake up the system and play a sound when its reminder time occurs, regardless of the backlight mode or even if the device has completely gone to sleep.
Is there any way to replicate this functionality?
Thanks!

Hello everybody,
I am trying to make an owner-drawn edit control (derived from CEdit), however I can^t seem to get the frame drawn. I found out that in MFC for desktop-apps WM_NCPAINT is called for the non-client area of the control, but unfortunatly that message does not seem to be send in Windows CE apps(well the WM_NCPAINT msg is not supported at least)..
Is there a way to draw the frame of edit controls in Windows CE? (for CButton derived control I used the DrawItem function which gets the job done, is there something similar for CEdit???)
Thanks for any help you might provide,
Greetz,
Davy

Use ShellExecuteEx to start the other application and call WaitForSingleObject on the hProcess of the SHELLEXECUTEEX structure. When the wait function exits, the other application has terminated.

Thanks, I'm learning, I'm learning about PPC in the last weeks.... João Paulo Figueira, you must be a Master in Pocket PC, .
Surely it's a stupid question but...: Now I'm trying to specify the string "directory" where the .exe is (in the SHELLEXECUTEEX structure) , and I don't know how to do it(I tested with "\", "\\", and so on). I'm searching about this and nothing found yet...
Any help?
Thank you.

Windows CE only supports full paths, so you have to be careful with that. An example would be \Program Files\MyApp.exe. Note that you may have to add enclosing double quotes for paths with embedded spaces. The above example must be transformed to: "\Program Files\MyApp.exe" or, in a C++ string:
_T("\"\\Program Files\\MyApp.exe\"")
