I'm planning to use a text box to accept a currency value. I would also want to supply a mask for the same. How can I do it using .Net Supplier text box control. Or there are any other controls? I've checked in Infragistics also but they are not flexible
Can anybody respond to my query? Thanks in advance
Regards
Vishu

Use the Windows Media API. DirectX9 has C# ( and I assume VB.NET ) support, but it's full of bugs.

A simple search for "play sound file visual basic .net" on MSDN reveals a couple articles. One of which is Code: Playing a Sound (Visual Basic)[^].

... I have compiled a VB.NET class project into a DLL. Then I registered it to GAC. I want to use it in a new .NET application. Trying to add a reference but can't find it in "Add reference" under .NET tab. Why?
Well I know I can browse for my .DLL ... but I want to share this .DLL between 2 applications so I registered it at GAC. Am I doing this share-thing the wrong way?
Please give me some help here ...

We really can't tell you that unless you describe how you wrote your class and how you put your assembly in the GAC.

Hi,
I want to develop a application in VB. That will import data from MS-Access table to SQL server table. We have many ways to do same things
• SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS)
• SQL Server linked servers
• SQL Server distributed queries
• ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) and the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL server
• ADO and the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Jet 4.0
or if u know some other way. I want to do build the application in more professional way.
So i want smart suggetion from any one.
Thanks

If you know the format of the tables, there's nothing magical about it. All you do is read the Access table, do any translation that you need to, and write it to the SQL table. The connection technology you use for either one is up to you. In VB.NET, all this stuff is supplied in the .NET BCL.

I want to convert a scanned image(.BMP file) to text.Is it possible.

Nothing is impossible!
But there are some very difficult things also!
What you want, although I say that it is not impossible but I suggest you to forget about it.
You can start analyzing the picture pixel by pixel and check for information about the characters.
(This is the only way that I can think of)
But this is too complex and difficult that it is better to leave it!

You should have explained your question more exactly or at least write the code, but just a hint for you:
you should try refreshing your form after drawing anything on that...

Hey everyone,
I'm attempting to write a VB .NET program for my pocket pc (e800) which does the following:
I have a form. The form has a button. I press the button and the program captures an image taken from my HP Photosmart Mobile Camera.
The question is, will browsing through my pocket pc's Windows directory I noticed a number of application extensions related to my HP camera. How can I access the functionality of these extensions to incorporate camera functionality in my own apps?
Thanks!
Sean

Your question would be better handled in the Embedded/Mobile Forum[^]. You question is more specific to the platform functionality than it is to VB.NET.

Hello,
The code works but the when you use the Enter key the program Beeps at me and I would like to stop that but still move to the next control.
Private Sub controls_KeyDown(ByVal Sender as object, BayVal e as Systes.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs) Handles combobox.KeyDown, textbox.KeyDown<br />
If e.keyCode = Keys.Enter Then<br />
Me.SelectNextControl(Ctpe(Sender, Control), True, True, True, False)<br />
End If<br />
End Sub
I have also tried many variations of code that is in the if block like SendKeys.Send("{TAB}") still makes the Beep
Thank you
