great...this is exactly what i wanted...how can u encode the captured video? e.g. i have the DivX codec installed on my computer. i want to encode the video into divx on the fly..is this possible..

I don't know exactly how to encode with DivX especially. This[^] shows how to encode a *.mpeg to a *.wmv... If you can find how to encode to DivX, it should be the same kind of work.
The capture class encodes a video stream in an *.avi file. DivX is an *.avi file to but encoded with a different codec (You will not gain much quality/space using AVI/DIVX instead of just AVI).
There are some softwares that can create *.avi files with DivX codecs. You can try this one[^] out.

With the capture class, you are already encoding a video stream to an *.avi file. It is exactly the same process if you encode it with divX. You should be able to do this

Hallo,
if I want to close a network connection, I call the "Close" method in the class "Socket". But how can I close a certain connection (TcpChannel) in .Net Remoting (especially on client side)
My second question is, how it is possible to delete a remote object (again on client side)

You can use the TcpChannel.StopListening() method. Any published MarshalByRefObjects can be disconnected via a call to RemotingServices.Disconnect(marshalByRefObj);

To filter "bad word" I have many problems.
Is there anyone know how to call function from Windows System to stem words and separate words.
I found that when double click textbox in window a word in string will auto selected And when press Ctrl+ArrowRight on textbox the cursor change position word by word.
If can call "word cutting" function from Windows system, It will expedient

There is no "word cutting" function in the Windows API. Are you talking about cutting a word out of a text string? This you have to code yourself...

I'd say Microsoft's FxCop -- it's what Microsoft themselves use for their internal testing including development of Visual Studio and the .NET base class library. It quickly evolves (in fact, you can download a version for testing the .NET 2.0 beta code right now), it's free, and there's an SDK available if you want to write your own rules.

i have a windows application which is a msn messenger clone. I have a text box that requires u to type ur username and password - both of whcih are visible to the user. The user can clcik a button and directly be signed into his inbox. how do i do this. I have seen this functionality in Trillian and many other messnger clients. Apparently as far as i know, the application passes a few parameters to the hotmail site and - voila!

YOU don't use it. It's used by the name resolvers (DNS, WINS) to resolve names to IP addresses.

i know that either DNS or WINS is used for resolving IP addresses but in this case i specifically need to use the hosts file

Just put your pages inside a frameset, or IFrame.
May I add that this is horrible, bookmarks don't work, and navigation sucks. I avoid this kind of site like the plague.

Search the articles on codeproject, there's several articles on how to use serial ports. FYI, in .NET 2.0, there's a managed implementation of Serial port access in the form of System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.

 has anyone heard of clustering pc's in >NET. I've seen it in C/C++ but havent come across in .NET! i feel the .NET community lags behing when it come to these scenarious. I mean clutering PC's for computiong things like mersenne prime numbers...calculatios etc like SETI@home.

i came across this application called Ad-Mucher www.admuncher.com. Its the popup blocker, admuncher, etc all rolled into one and...its the bst u can find! It directly taps into the communcation buffer or something and modifies requests on the fly. How do these work? No ones ever managed to answer my question. Is there a sim alr kinda app in .NET (Please dont tell me anything of crude methods of modiying the HOSTS file etc). admuncher i cided in ASM and it removes all malicious javascript and activex code and to top it all off its only 100kb

These most likely work by installing some sort of COM listener into Internet Explorer; listening when the browser navigates, intercepts the IHtmlDocument2, and modifies it to remove any ActiveX objects and I guess Javascript (don't know why you'd want to remove Javascript since it's overall quite harmless and most webpages require it...).
