How can I change my computers brand name?

Can any one help me to change the brand name of a computer....before it boots, Compaq appears on the screen and heard it can be changed in the bios settings....I was thinking you have to combine some keys to get it but I have tried all the keys..Its not working... Please show me how ...

i know how to get to the setup / bios of the computer..But i have searched all options and i dnt find any option that allows to change brand name ... please help me

Solution 1

The method for accessing the BIOS settings can vary between the different BIOS/Motherboard manufacturers.

Whatever they are is usually displayed on screen during the POST test.

Mine is just pressing the 'Ins' key but yours may be different.

I have to press F8 so yes, it varies.

I press F8 or F10. One of the two always works. :)
