Hi,

Can we able to run Vs 2005 written code(framework 2.0) with VS 2008 or VS 2010?

At present using VS2005 and deploying on production server with Framework 2.0 installed.
If I go for VS2008/2010, do I need to install 3.0/3.5 on production server inorder make code work ot it works with 2.0?

Can I upgrade the VS 2005 code to VS 2008 code using any of Microsoft tools?

Thanks inadvance for your replies.

Hi,

With Vs2008/2010 you can target .net 2.0, so you don't need to install .Net3 or .Net 4 on your production server.

Also if you open you vs2005 solution in vs2008/2010 it will be automatically upgraded and you will get a report telling you where there are issues. The process of upgrading is really easy and painless. No external tools required.

Valery.
