what could be wrong if all my icons on the desktop are covered by windows media player icon and when ever am clicking any program its windows media player that opens up

Solution 1

It's some virus or trojan work. Might be some registry value getting corrupted. Try to Google, if someone has faced something similar.

Scan the system(if your current antivirus works! or else try online scanning) and try to get rid of it.
