Yeah, OK. It's quite obvious you have no idea of the complexity of the question you just asked.

If you want to do EVERYTHING yourself, you've got a HUGE amount of work ahead of you. Like learning how to write your own codecs so you can decode the various streams in the file, according to the standards for any number of particular formats you want to support.

Then you'll have to learn how to render that data in various frame buffers and display them with correct timing and in sync with the audio.

You'll also have to learn about hardware acceleration options available and how to use the API's for those.

Do I really have to continue?
