Medium type for R/W data CD in Vista and Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi All,

I used MODE SENSE(10) using SCSI commands to get the medium type of the medium in CD/DVD drive. I inserted a data R/W cd and the medium type detected in Windows XP and Windows 7 32 bit is "120 mm multi-session CD-RW,door closed" while the CD is detected in Vista and Windows Server 2008 R2 as "120 mm CD-RW data and audio combined,door closed".

Can anyone explain why is it so???
