How to handle tabindex in between master and content page's controls?

im having controls on master page and on content page also.
whenever i set tabindex, the master page's controls executes their taborder first and then content's.
so how to handle order as master's--------->Content's------->and again Master's.

I do not see a problem with this. If i set tabindex for a link in master as 0,1, then 2,3,4 in child, then 5,6 again in master, it works fine with me. What is problem you are facing?
