i need to display first 10 records from database in first page ,and 2nd page another 10 page and so on .please any body having any idea ,then refer to me.

Hi,

First, retrieve all data from database into dataset. divide all data based on page number into pages. and again make dataset with many tables with 10 records per table. it will be connection less. and when you click paging navigation based on that bind dataset.tables[pageindex] to gridview.
