DHTML is using javascript with html to anticipate the surfers responses and
react to the person's actions. For instance, the mouse movement is anticipated,
and used to create an super sticky page. One that seems to think for you. The goal, I suppose is to create a living page that is tailored towards each of the preferences of the surfer. Sure, it is also more than this, but that is how I take it.

Animated gifs. Here is one source. If you want to make images move, get
into Flash.
