Hi All,

We have a requirement to access the xap file on the machine across network.Suppose xap file is on other machine's folder on the network instead of clientbin folder of application folder and when I run the application the xap file should be manually downloaded from that machine. How can I do this?

Thanks in advance.

You can run a Silverlight application as an out of browser application[^].
Apart from that, there is no way to do this i.e. the only way is to connect to a URL and let the browser download the file for you.

But how can i get the url ? It's on the another machine in the same domain. Suppose when I host it and client will use this and when application start it will download that xap from that machine. Can we use FTP to download that file and run it manually?

Thanks,
Abhay
