how to make communication from WCF service with a windows application running on same machine. I cant crack the data layer of it. I need service that should run the application and fetch the data from it.

Any idea or thoughts around this are highly appreciated..

Solution 1

Just create a service reference to the service and then run your windows application to access the service. You get a more reliable test of the servcie if you publish it to IIS on your machine. I assume you have both in the same solution? you did not provide any information on that and thus I gave you a 2 vote on your question.

hi,

I don't have this two as in same solution.The windows application is different one that got installed in the client/server machine and i need to fetch the data from it through service.

Whenever i call this service it has to run the application and fetch certain values(or fields) from the application.
