Image save issue in database

hello guys, i'm using oracle 9i, the problem is that i need to save image file in the database, front end is made in VB6, give me the code that converts image into bytes, and also send me insert query,
i have another technique in this technique i will have to save image path, but this solution in not reliable, please suggest me something.

It seems as though someone has already asked this question on CP and it was answered as well. The first link provided in the answer seems to be your best bet.
