Check whether the searched url exists

I have created a search button on my website. If the product user is searching for exists, it is directed to that page but if it doesn't exists it is giving page error.
how to avoid this page error. Please suggest!

I have edited your question to sort out the formatting. I really do not think bold and italic was a requirement!

As for your question, it is a tad ambiguos as to how you are searching for the product, as you mention URLs.
