Has anyone stepper motor and digital I/O control via USB?

Hi,
I am looking for hardware to connect to a computer via USB which can control several steppermotors and digital in- and outputs via a software library, preferably with a VisualBasic library. Or a library which I can translate to VisualBasic.It would be great to have something like this!

What I have tried:

I searched the internet, but found nothing so far. I am able to write software, but not to create the necessary hardware.

You really need to up your Google-fu.

I've used Phidgets[^] before, but that was a looong time ago.
