How cancel echo while playing sound files from server

I am developing an application where i am playing recorded sound files from server using media player,though i am able to play the streaming sound file from server but when i play it for the first time it has an echo effect but when the same file is played for the second time the echo effect is gone,i am really lost,cant figureout the cause....any help will be cordially appriciated,plz let me know if i am not clear enough,Thanks
