Hello All,

My daughters laptop died (mother bd fried), she has school docs and pictures on the sata drive. I am able to mount the drive as "f:" from an external "USB to SATA" adapter onto my desktop (windows xp), but when I try to get into the "Documents and settings" area, I then get "Access is Denied". Any helpful tips? Thanks in Advance. :sigh:

Due to large amounts of pics, I am not wanting to boot knoppix, mount the drive, and have to tar-ball in 2GB chunks, this will take a real long time, I was hoping there might be a simple way within windows to drag and drop?

Have a great day, and I am sorry if this is not the proper forum for this type question.
