Update progress of update panel is not closing in internet explorer.

I have a google map inside an update panel and my code will fetch all the result by using a zip code and it is working fine but when i click the submit button after entering the zipcode the result is showing correctly but my update progress for that update panel is not closing in internet explorer other browser it is working fine. Please tell me the cause of this.
