I am planning to create a dynamic partition function and partition scheme for a particular table based on given data range.Can you please let me know if any body knows..

This is a complex task. A forum reply is the wrong place to explain it. There's a ton of articles online. The first thing you need to do is to understand the costs and benefits of this approach, and to consider if it's appropriate for what you're doing. The second is to make sure your partition is chosen correctly. Really, those are the sort of things you may want to discuss here, in tandem with reading articles, and asking SPECIFIC questions if you can't understand what you read.

Thank for ur reply..is it not possible to apply partitions dynamically..

Oh, sorry, I missed the 'dynamic' part. Of course, a partition is based on a specific rule and has to be built, you can't just dynamically create and change them, any more than you would indices.
