what is role?
how to manage roles in asp.net ?
i have 10 users and i want to display the user their respective page after sucessfull login(like gmail shows respective inbox,facebook shows respective user wall)
pls explain clearly?

Do look at Solution 1 by OriginalGriff, only that it is an old framework provided by ASP.NET, the new one is Identity; you should consider learning and using it.

Solution 1

Look at Membership[^] - it's pretty simple to use, and includes role handling.
