Solve Corrupt AVI due to sudden interruption or halt in recording

Why sometimes AVI files captured through video camera recording cannot be opened when the camera loses power (similar case for downloaded AVI when internet goes off) and how to solve it
If some of you are having problems with corrupt AVI due to sudden halt in recording... don't lose hope. The reasons for such halts can be, your camera losing power or memory card facing data overflow error or maybe while downloading an AVI from the internet, partial data is retrieved due to a break down in internet connectivity.

Usually, in these cases, what happens is that the data remains intact but the AVI file header which is supposed to be written at the end of the file, doesn't get printed.

So all you have to do is place a proper AVI header at the end of the data and you should be able to view the AVI file in your media players without much problem.
