As I understand it, membership updates are a periodic process, not automatic. Your status will be elevated eventually.

Chris has to manually run some kind of status updater to accomplish member status promotions. It's not an automated process.

Each 500 posts and each year of membership gives you a new level, BUT you get a headstart to bronze (effectively you need to hit 1000 posts to get the next level, or submit an article).

I'm not sure that this article exists already, as it may and I have not yet seen it but this is my idea. It would be interesting to read an article about the inception of the code project web site. What it took to get it up and going, why you felt the need for this site, and where you see it going. If this article already exists please point me to it, I am interested would like to read it.

Not sure whether this is a bug or by design,
When I view my own profile the member since is displayed as () rather giving the number of months and years. Viewing somebody else's profile shows the correct value (3 months)

More of a bugreport than suggestion.
Recently it seems that the latest entries in the lounge on the main page
is in some random order.
And a wish..
If you want to find a older thread today you have to keep pressing
next until you get to the page with the thread.
It would be nice with a list that only had the thread subjects.
