Unfortunately helping people to spell better isn't something I'm willing to devote a lot of resources to. There are plenty of solutions already for those that wish to improve their online postings.

This permalink (http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/forums.asp?msg=2095672&forumid=1645#xx2095672xx[^]) seems to be promising though with the link the initiative should be from the user instead of CP placing and underline or emphasis on good grammar.
But at least for article postings, I would say, this can be emphasized. I admit that there is a Editor Review for the article but till that phase, the items submitted through 'Article Submission Wizard' are public right?

Solution - use FireFox. No reason to burden the site with yet more behind-the-scenes processing. It's hard enough just to get the site respond sometimes.

One thing that I think would be very useful to have would be an API(Library) section where we can go to look for API's, and anyone can Add any API's that they have found to it.
Of course to start this people will have to add API's to it, but it would be a very useful thing to have.

What would go in an API section that wouldn't go in an existing section?

If label concept is brought in or some search categorization, this wouldn't be a big issue.

Just an idea here, but with Code-frogs heart rending plight, how about the monthly competition being amended for one month. If people could sell something on eBay and then pass the proceeds onto Rex, the prizes could be donated to the people who raised the most money in that period. Note that it would probably be best if the prizes were awarded anonymously to prevent any embarassment for people.
Any takers?

While my heart goes out to Rex I think CodeProject's wider community is best served by us sticking to the current format. This month Rex, next month someone else. The month after we have fights about what cause is more worthy.

Too many unfriendly 'Server Unavailable' messages today. When I refreshed it goes off. At least the friendly 'ASP Engine gives Crunching sound...' is better than this one.

The devils strike again. For the past one hour, the following message keeps hitting on every page load.
An error has occurred<br />
Sorry!<br />
The maximum length of time our servers were willing to spend on your request has passed. They are extremely busy and ask that you let them take a quick breather before trying again.

How about we have a third option for "Hasn't searched" for when people obviously haven't even tried the most basic of searches and are out just to get someone else to do thier work for them?

Yup. Message sans Thank you shows the level of gratitude of the asker and also reflects his mental attitude.

Forum message vote uses AJAX without full page refresh but vote mechanism for articles still uses traditional POST and refreshes the page.

It's part of the "rewrite" we keep hearing about, they're introducing the features that are most important first
