Maybe it's because the tags are in the query string. We're planning to make changes to how this tag filter remembers tags. Hopefully it will be resolved by then. It's in our TODO but not near the top

Firstly, I don't understand the motive behind creating threads about a woman that you don't ever know or have never met in person. This guy has been doing it for a while.
Also, EVERY SINGLE message the person started this thread[^] was some sort of abuse, and he's still up to it after a day. I'm not spending time on a troll.
What can you do about this?

I find the best response to someone like this is no response at all. Down-vote or 'vote to remove' if you wish but responding only gives him satisfaction and more often than not lead to abuse and insults.
Now the original post (can't read his reply's to you since they'v been removed) wasn't insulting or abusive, pointless and childish yes but that's not exactly a reason to attack him.
From the responses I could read I'm going to guess he started with the abuse and insults but that's still no reason to go down to his level and do it as well.
Best thing to do is to just ignore them.

I only argued that he shouldn't have done what he did. I stopped talking to him when he responded with personal abuse. I could have gone to his level if I had to, but I didn't.

I wonder if you had known what the thread was about? And do you know that he's already done the same thing in the past?! That pissed me off. I'm not sure if your reactions and opinions would be different if you had known the actual content and the topic of the thread.

Yes, I watched it all unfold, and stayed clear. The guy behaved somewhat improperly, but you have to expect some of that in the lounge. I have considerable sympathy for you on this but I don't think it's worth losing any sleep over.

As Richard pointed out the thread took a wrong turn at that point (can't see his response so don't know if yours was warranted or not, but I'm guessing it was).
I'm in no way accusing you or judging you, my answer was just a general one. I see to many people willing to respond to threads that really should just be ignored, eventually the poster will get the message (I hope) and stop posting drivel.
Anyway it's in the past and let's let it stay there

When I edited this message from a few couple weeks ago, the text from the signature was placed at the bottom of the message Text (i.e., actually in the text box that the rest of the text is in for the main body of the message). And the only thing in the actual signature area (the little edit area below the main message text textbox) was the "this message was modified" message.
That was earlier today. I cancelled out of that edit and just tried it again right now. This time, the message text and signature merged just as before, but this time there was no "this message was modified" message in the signature (leaving the signature completely empty). I can provide screenshots if you like.
Note that I never completed any of those edits (I was only editing the message to get the text so I could use that text elsewhere).

It would be neat to have a new icon to express lusty consumerism. Comes in handy when things like the iPad are released. Could maybe have a wet tongue hanging out of a smiley or drool (mouth open/drop hanging from it in a bobbing fashion) and have an animation of the smiley licking the drool off of its lips.

I just noticed that my reputation point went up by something like 4 after I was voted up in the lounge. WTF is this?! Is this by design? 
I surely haven't done any contribution in the programming forums (and my posts weren't voted up in the programming forums in the past few minutes). Will you please iron this out? Even if it means I'll have to lose some of the reputation points.
I don't want my lounge posts to be related to my reputation.

I'm not sure what the typical delay would be between an action resulting in rep points, and those points showing up in your rep graph. I have a feeling the delay varies from zero to days sometimes. I would like the delay to be specified in the FAQ.
2.
I also think (and the FAQ seems to indicate) votes are not weighted by the voter's color (none/bronze/silver/gold/platinum), which is a mistake in my view.

I actually noted it thrice - a post of mine was voted 5 thrice, and the reputation went up by 4 (or 3?) three times.
If it were the result of some upvoting that occurred on any of my posts in the programming forum, then I'll be extremely happy. My concern was that my posts on the lounge should have absolutely nothing to do with my reputation points, which is directly related to my contributions to the site. I'll be glad if a CP staff could explain.
You could verify this by noting my rep points once, upvoting a post of mine in the lounge, and checking it again! I'm not 100% sure though. I just posted what I thought was happening.

This is in fact by design. We're awarding reputation points for posting messages on regular forums and for having your message up-voted. But - and this is a big "but" - these only contribute to your Participation reputation.
Take a look at the Reputation FAQ[^]. Note the forum events under Participation. Also note that points cannot be deducted for having your message down-voted. In addition, there are forum-related events for programming forums. These are under the Authority and Enquirer reputation types.
So, we're really only awarding you points for participating with Code Project in this situation. Just like logging in and signing up for a news letter. As Chris noted before we do grant certain admin-like functionality when you attain a certain number of points but these never have to do with the Participation reputation points.

Yes, that was another concern of mine.
However, I'll strongly recommend that these lounge points be much trivial in strength while compared to the ones that are related to what we do in the programming forums (something like 1:10 ratio). But that's only a suggestion.

That's what we sorta hoped to accomplish with placing it the Participation group. But I'll still bring it up with the team though.

Found something in Quick Answers that should be changed:
I provided an answer to the original poster's question. He followed up with another question about what I suggested, when I try to post an answer to that, my Answer now displays above his. But despite that problem, I think we should have a means to just post messages following answer, so you have a 'back-and-forth' discussion directly below the answer provided, without having to resort to posting more "answers", that really aren't.

Absolutely. This is a known issue and it is one of our higher priority items. It's also been discussed a few times on this and other forums.
What we're planning to do is have a mini discussion board for each answer and question. What we have right now is one at the very, very bottom of the page. It's not being used as intended and for a number of valid reasons. Perhaps you could try using this for the meantime? But this would also mean the person you are having the conversation with also use the same mechanism and that's far easier said than done.
So my suggestion, for now, is to do what works best for you. Hopefully this won't be an issue after we've implemented what I described above.

Ah - very good, I should have known you all were on top of things.
I did see the message board at the bottom of the screen, but as you already stated, it's not a good solution for "obvious reasons".
