That would make sense, the subforums themselves the are called "General Programming", so why should they be in General Discussions?

If this idea clicks, you'd need more than just a handful of moderators on those forums.

This isn't a bug. It's a deliberate policy so that your article doesn't disappear due to a single univoter.

Hi
Under the Q & A section --> "Views" shows the count each time user view the question irrespective if the same user clicks to view again and again. I hope it should be only once the "Views" count increment for a particular user, If same user clicks again and again then "Views" count should not be increased.
that would be "Visitors", not "Views".
Hi Luc Pattyn,
Thanks, I just intend to identify that, if same visitor try to view again and again the same question
"Views" count increases, wouldn't be "Visitors" count should increase incase new visitor views the question
I think I'm going to just stick to Views.
For my sanity and those of the databases.

An answer I posted earlier has been marked as deleted.

I didn't delete it. How did that happen? I thought only I could delete my answers (it hasn't been down-voted). Note that a comment posted to that answer has also been marked as deleted.

Hi,
What happened to the voting system?
I voted this Tips&Tricks[^] yesterday but today it is showing 0 votes. Is it a BUG or some thing happened with this? If it's a bug, then people will loose their votes as well as reputation points.

Well I think, nothing is wrong with voting system or so.
Yesterday, when you voted it, it was not published/accepted by CP then.
After you voted, it was accepted and was available for view to others. I am sure you know that, Votes get reset to zero after the article/blog/tip is made publically available.

Yes, I know this and that's why I am asking this question. Adding one more point to my query:
- I gave the vote after the Tips had been published
Is there anything between published article and CP accepting time? I don't think so. Once the article is published for public view, you can vote for it & then it will be remain intact. Please confirm.

Hi Kunal,
Looking at your RSS feed I notice that the full content of your blog entries are not in the description. Do you have the ability to modify that? Our aggregation tool is designed to take only content within the description tags
Thanks,

Yes, that worked. Thank you Sean. I just modified my feed and included the whole description instead of the summary.
Thanks again.

As of about 2pm CST I started getting blank pages in Chrome. So... the green sub menu bar doesn't load, if I go to the lounge, none of the posts are there, if I try to follow a link from the home page to a forum no posts are there, etc. The topics list on the left side, the advert and the snnouncements are there.
Is anyone seeing this right now? I exited and restarted Chrome, logged out and in. No love. I'm posting this in IE because I can't see the 'new message' button in Chrome.

all looks fine here, using FireFox 3.0, or Chrome 5.0.375.99
(replied using Chrome)
Did you try a few CTRL/F5?

I did, no avail...but I'm using Chrome here at home again and all works fine. I'll check it again tomorrow.

So, when I came in this AM the issue was still here. I killed all processes with Google or Chrome in the title, restarted Chrome and it worked. So something goofy was going on there.
Likely would've been fixed by a reboot too...
