Im having problems with an area of my form wich is transparent not invalidating properly if i have a control in that area then remove or move it an image of it is left behind has anyone got a surgestion?
|
|
|
|
|
Try this.Refresh(); after moving.
Or this.Invalidate(); .
|
|
|
|
|
ive tryed both i dont thinks its a problem in the invalidating itself more in the fact it dosnt invalidate the transparent areas
|
|
|
|
|
Try :
this.SetStyle(System.Windows.Forms.ControlStyles.SupportsTransparentBackColor | System.Windows.Forms.ControlStyles.Opaque);
.
|
|
|
|
|
opaque makes the middel of my form go transparent setting the backgruond to trasparent with supports transparent it gives me a cream background and my form flickers (even with doublebuffer)

I have noticed that Visual Studio .Net 2003 enjoys automatically adding dependencies to the setup project that cause the build to fail unless they are excluded. (ex. msado27.tlb, msado26.tlb, activeds.tlb, etc.) I am trying to build a large number of applications at once using a script which is not a problem when testing the script on my machine since it is the development machine and I have already excluded the "bad" files. The problem pops up when I try to build the applications on a different machine where Visual Studio believes that it should add different dependencies and therefore fail during the building of the setup project.
I have yet to see the use of requiring a file that must be excluded.
Is there anyway to exclude files before they show up as dependencies? Like a list of files that if they show up, they are excluded? Or maybe a filter of some sort.... "Don't include *.tlb" :Hopeful:
Thanks

Think of a computer program. Somewhere, there is one key instruction, and everything else is just functions calling themselves, or brackets billowing out endlessly through an infinite address space. What happens when the brackets collapse? Where's the final 'end if'? Is any of this making sense?

I personally stopped using VS.NET 2003 for Setup Project. I took the time to write one batch installer, which is included with my ZIP-file and will install the directory to any location desired and make changes to the registry.
If you are not programming for profit, you might want to look into Nullsoft Installer or other "free for non-commercial use"-setup tools, which usually wield a much bigger palette of tools than the castrated "Windows Install Maker" included with VS.NET 2003

I appreciate the answer, but changing our installer is, unfortunately, not something we can do.
Thanks

Hello all, I'm new here and I have some doubts with C#
I have to program a modem connection and I did not find any object in .NET 1.1 that could help me does any of you can help me?
By the otrhe hand I were thinking in try to configure the modem in Win XP and try to startup the connection from a process class, but in XP does not exits the old DLL that does this task, any idea?
Thanks in advance

How far down to you want to go?
I recon that you want to send data from one modem to another?
Most modems are connected to serial ports, so I would start by looking into serial port programming in .NET, followed by reading up on "Hayes Command Set" or "AT-Commands".
If you modem does not support AT-commands, scrap it and get a new one.

Thanks for your answer
Yes I'm trying to send info from una PC to another via modem, of course both are connected to serial ports, and both accept AT commands, but where I can find a good reference for prommaing the serial port for .NET?
TIA

I have read a similar question here on CP only a few days ago, either in this forum or in ".NET Framework".
I am too lazy to look it up now, but you should be able to find it

I have found the need to convert a word document (its text, tables and images) to an XML file that could give a general layout like the world file. Firstly is there an easier way to do this other than programatic access to the Word object model? Secondly, if I do have to programatically accomplish this, I need to assign names to to the tables, images and text. Currently I'm trying either a caption or a bookmark, but there may be an easier way. By the way I'm using Word 2000 if that is of importance, and I am also using C#. Thanks.

One possible way to minimize use of the word object model would be to only invoke it to save the word doc in xml format, and then parse the MSxml into your format. If words xml output is as noxious as it's html it might end up being more work, I've never tried so I wouldn't know.

Try opening it using the Jet 40 provider for Oledb (System.data.oledb classes), use Extended properties = Excel 8.0 in the connection string, Data source is directory, initial catalog is file name.
then try :
public DataTable GetTables(OleDbConnection conn)
{
conn.Open();
DataTable schemaTable = conn.GetOleDbSchemaTable(OleDbSchemaGuid.Tables,
new object[] {null, null, null, "TABLE"});
conn.Close();
return schemaTable;
}

thank you, that would be perfect IF i could use the microsoft.jet.4.0 driver. But, so far I keep getting the message saying the that the porvider is not registered on the local machine.
Even thought, it is : I download the lastest, i check the registry and i manually register using the regsvr32 sqloledb.dll. but nothing worked. so, i decided to try the odbc and it works, but i do not know how to get the tables with it.
I appreciate any suggestions...

Hello;
I want to use DirectSHOW DLL,,,or any DLL with the
same performance to CAPTURE a VIDEO stream (from
webcam)
and make some image processing in this stream
(live/real time processing) and view (the captured
video and the video after processing)
-------------------------------------------------------
EXAMPLE:
i'll capture a video
then
subtract EACH FRAME(in the stream) from certain
picture
then
filter the RESULTANT FRAME using median filter
all this will be applied for each fame in real
time,,ok
I allready made the codes of 1-subtracting and
2-median filter
but my problem is:
1- how to capture the stream with DIRECTSHOW
2- how to applay my codes(subtracting,median,another
cimage processing codes) using DIRECTSHOW
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have some sources like:
1-DirectShow documentation for Microsoft(for c++)
2-NET MASTER project in codeproject which titeled by(DirectShow.net)
I'm so sorry for you time,,,,but i really need your
help

If you are using C++ ,then you may ask it there at its forum,if you are using .NET ,then I believe that the Managed DX SDK[^]will help.

Sasuko wrote:

There are some Diffrence :
Title bar is the one that Holdes the title of the window ,and holdes the Close button,The menu is that holdes File,Edit,etc...
So if you want that MENU so you can make a custom one to stand with the Borderless form.
