Sounds like this is pretty much all of the project. I'm interested, how do you use MFC in VB.NET ?

Well, rather than posting 'my time has run out and I have no idea what to do' ( which equates to 'write this for me ), why don't you post some code and explain where specifically you are having trouble ? If you're not at a point of being able to post something, then you're not at a point of being able to ask for help.

A real traffic light, or one you draw ? If you're drawing one, just change the colour of the brush you draw it with.

Wow - this is great. What car ? What time ? What on earth are you talking about ? Have you written any code at all ? Or are you just reading the assignment off the sheet, having done no work during the time allocated ?

Is there a quick and dirty way of making an application have the ability to go "fullscreen". Thanks
Sure - just change the window position and size to fill the screen, with the title bar and menu above the top of the screen.

Nope. You can maximize your form without doing anything. But if you want it fullscreen, you'll have to do everything to set it up yourself.

why not set FormBorderStyle to none, WindowState to maximized, MinimizeBox and MaximizeBox to false.
that should do ya.

From his question, I assumed he wanted to go between a windowed app and a fullscreen app. In either case, he has to make those changes himself and manage the tracking of the state his window is in. There's isn't a single method call that will do everything for him.

You'll have to create a new Font object. You can use the properties from the existing object you have to fill in the new Font object's constructor parameters, changing the ones you want to have different values.

Catch a click and drag, and move your form yourself.

Hi! I am a vb.net newbie, and I have been trying to figure out how to print the contents of a datagrid. I’m trying to use the PrinterClass I downloaded from this site:
When I use the print preview control I get the ‘Object reference not set to an instance of an object’ error message. This is what the message says: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at System.Windows.Forms.PrintPreviewControl.CalculatePageInfo() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.InvokeMarshaledCallbacks()
When I try the print control, I get an exception Object reference not set to an instance of an object. The breaks at CurrentY = CurrentY + CType(PrintGrid.Headers.GetValue(0), Header).Height.
Please Help! This has me pulling my hair out like crazy!

Hii All,
I am trying to assign current date ( todays date ) to a variable. Any suggesstions ?

I take it you're looking for the current date data and not a string.
Dim currDate As Date = Date.Now()

You probably want to look into using crystal reports for this. Once the user has selected a row form the Datagrid you can move that row into a data table, bind that to a crsytal report, and then export that to a pdf.

I would look at the PrintDocument class and related. You can push these document types write to a printer such as the Adobe PDF Writer.
You could also look at pushing the documents to a PostScript printer and saving it to a file. Then converting it to a PDF using GhostScript.
