on the top-right corner of the form in pocket pc there is a close button, now i would like to disable it, so do not make it use to close this form, so how?what codes can be used?

Haven't tried it but in WinForms you would catch the Closing event of the form (or override OnClosing) and set the Cancel property of the given event arguments to true.
Probably its the same for pocket pc development...

You could set the forms ControlBox property to False although that will also remove the minimize and maximize buttons. If these aren't used then you're good to go.

Uhm... Ok, I know I need to have a crash course in this whole Bit / Byte / Char thing, but I'm hoping as per usual, that the quickest and best way for me to learn this, will be learning by example...
I get a value from somewhere in memory (Handled by a IPC which, I have *nothing* to do with). Value: 0x3500 (Or rather, &H3500 I believe?)
How do I convert that back to, say a String? Or a Integer?
According to the associated documentation:
Version number:
The HIWORD (i.e. bytes 3306-7) gives the main version as BCD x 1000: e.g. 0x1998 for 1.998
The LOWORD (bytes 3304-5) gives the Interim build letter: 0=none, 1-26=a-z: e.g. 0x0005 = 'e'
The value is 4 Bits long. In (I presume VB 2002), this apparently works:

I know I may be asking allot here, but I'm more after someone explaining to me HOW this work, rather than just giving me example code (though, a example or 10 would be good as well). I have THOUSANDS of these magical 'Bits' and 'Byte Array' offsets that I need to read, manipulate, and write... Some of them I managed to get right (mostly the ones that returns Byte Arrays), but most of them, is a major battle to me.
From what I understand, I know that I need to loop through all the Bits in the Byte - and convert the Bits to whatever I want (Strings / Integers / etc) as I go along... But... How??

Huh??? If a node has a parent, it's got a root too. If not, it is the root.

This is a recursive routine. Given a starting node and the text to search for, you'll have to check each child node for the text. During the enumeration of the children, check each child for child nodes. If a child has children, the routine calls itself with the new starting node and the same text to search for. The routine will have to return an array of node objects (or whatever else your looking for).

Hello! 
I added OleDbConnection1 and OleDbCommand1 on to my form. Everything was working properly and then I decided to define those internally instead of placing on to form and of course I removed these components. And then I decided to put them back onto form again!
I started getting the following error message and connection string returns empty eventough every definition were made exactly as they were before.
"The ConnectionString property has not been initialized."
If you help me to figure out, I would really appreciate it!

I have a Database wich contains two tables : "Notice" and "Company". Notices contains notices for companys. Relation between tables are Company.CID and Notice.CID. One company can have several Notices
Problem: How do I put all my company-names in a combo instead with DataMember(Name) and DataValue(CID) and when I save my Notice the Company.CID is saved to Notice.CID
I hope you understand ... I want to change companyname on a Notice using their real name instead of using CID ...

Currently i have a combo box with a single select and can also enter a text.
Now i need to select more than one from the combobox. Just like our listbox functionality. How to implement without changing the UI. After selecting the items from the listbox and when it is double clicked, the selected items should be shown in the combo box.
I have a way. But it looks tedious one.. I'll explain it in detail...
I have a textbox and combobox (width is reduced to show only the down arrow). So for the user it'll look like combobox only. And when the user clicks on the downarrow, we can display the listbox and allowing to select multi select.
Is this the way that it can be done.?

Ummm...The ComboBox doesn't support multiple selections. You'll have to use a different control that does, like maybe a CheckedListBox.

Hi,
I have been working on a VB.net project. where I want to use drag and drop controls. Right now, I can able to create the controls on runtime with following code
Dim btn as new Button
me.controls.add(btn)
btn.location=new point(23,34)
btn.show
like..
The only problem is how to move the controls (command buttons) on the form to place it right place on the form.
i tried mouse down and mouse up methods to do it. But, the button created in one event handling sub routine is not Available in other sub routines.As i am declaring it as private sub routine.(I need a global runtime button to be created in a event method so that other event procedures also shared that button).do u understand?
Please help me in this regard.
