In the properties for the web site, klick Configuration. In the Mappings tab you see a list of extensions and their mappings. Add a mapping for html with the same settings as the shtml mapping.

You need access to the server to change the properties of the site.

No, you can't change properties of the web application using FTP.

Try renaming the HTML file that does the SSI to .shtm or .shtml . If you have SSI's enabled, this should work.

Thanks for the suggession!
Yes i know .shtml file will solve the problem. I am working with two website one running on Linux where all pages are made of .shtml and one on windows where more or less 100 pages are there made in html. change all 100 html file to shtml will waste of time, that site on search engine will hamper too.
I will start one more website also. either on linux or windows, but i want to clarify before that if i make .html file can I use that 'include code' SSI?
if you know any other please let me know.
thanks once again for all cooperation.

In that case, the only option you really have is to either add a mime type or application mapping on the site. And, the only way to do that would be to logon to the server or remote connect thru IIS Manager.

This is basically, what Guffa mentioned. Do you have access to the server? If it's not your server, then you'll have to contact your hosting provider about it.

Yes as I can't find that option from where i can Map HTML as shtml into my server control panel, its better to ask my hosting provider.
Thanks once again for your help.

Hi dear , thanks for your help
It is a current page,I have one page in all site and I want to disable the back button that is in the top cornner of the IE window.

I don't think you can disable the toolbars in the current window. I'm pretty sure you can only do that in new windows that you create.

Hi
please give me your solution for it

Are you wanting to know how to open a new window without the toolbar? Just so you know, there's no way to disable any one button. You'll have to remove the entire toolbar. And, even if you do that, that doesn't stop people from using Alt+(left) , Alt+(right) , and Backspace . My suggestion is that you find a better way of dealing with the back button, rather than removing it. I understand that sometimes you can't, but it's usually a better solution.

How to access objects declared with the <object> in the code behind.
C# ASP.Net-1.1 and to set its parameters
Thanks in advance.

You can't as they don't exist on the server side, they only exist in the browser.
You can put javascript code on the page, that will access the object.

Specify an id and runat="server" and you should be able to access the object.
<object id="myObject" runat="server">...</object> Then, in code-behind, you can instantiate a new protected field called myObject as an HtmlGenericControl . You should then be able to access the field in the code-behind.

Note: This only gives access to the server object that creates the element that will create the object, not the object itself.
