I think he's just writing a little test app for this. I have no idea if he's trying to really make anything out of this.

You could use DTS - It would be the most effective solution. It would also be the quickest to set up.

Colin thanks, but because I am new in all this can you elaborate
a bit more on what you mean with DTS
?

This is IMO the easiest way.
Open Enterprise Manager and goto your database's "Tables" section
Right-Click in the RHS panel and select All Tasks>Import Data...
Follow the wizard setting "Column Delimiter" and "First Row has Column Names" appropriately
ta.da.
some hints:
You can name the table, or select an existing one on the 3rd from last step
You can save your dts package in SQL Server on the second from last step - it can then be viewed/edited from Data Transformation Services/Local Packages in Enterprise Manager

If you follow it, it pretty much gives you the checklist for making sure you have met the requirements for debugging a web service.

There's no such thing as a "blank" date to the DateTimePicker. The default date is always the current date. If nothing is selected, you'll get todays date. There' is no getting around this, since a value type cannot be Nothing.

First: Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but i posted my question in the VB.Net forum also if any one need to continue the discussion there.
Seconed: It was not my question "How to find a file/or Folder properties?"
i mean how to call the actual 'File/Folder Properties Window' embeded in Windows XP OS
Thank u

If you want to subtract from the current date then use DateTime.Add()[^] and supply a negative number.

Hi everyone,
I am trying to change the color of form2 when i click the button in form1. Problem is that form2 and colordialogbox also displays but the form2 is not changed to the selected color from the color dialogbox. I dont know where am I going wrong.The code is as follows in form1
Button1_click.....
dim frm as new form2
frm.colordialog1.showdialog()
frm.forecolor=colordialog1.color
frm.showdialog()
end
Please help me
thanx in advance

|
|
|
|
frm2 = As New Form2()
frm2.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.YellowGreen
frm2.Show()
|
|
|
|
|
If the color dialog in on form2, run it from form2.
Try not to modify forms from other forms! It's really considered bad practice.
' Form 1 Button click
Dim frm As New Form2
frm.ShowDialog()
' Form 2 Load event or Button Click on Form2
colorDialog1.ShowDialog()
Me.BackColor = colorDialog1.Color
